Those players are going to be asked to take a pay cut to stay with the team. Not have the team convert base 2013 salary into signing bonuses.

.

Make shit up much? You have no idea if thats the case with either of these guys. Maybe it will be, but those two guys are also older players at the end of their careers.

As for his statement about not restructuring deals, it isnt exactly like the Redskins roster has been loaded with all world players that they've had to keep the past 5-6 years either.

Uh, no. I'm not making that up. It's exactly what they're going to do. You'll see.

Old like Jay Ratliff? Who we just gave more guaranteed money too?

Didn't stop them from doing it in the past. They had a smart GM come in and stopped a foolish practice. That was glorydays point.

You came in thinking you were going to prove him wrong with an example of two players who are going to get Dan Connor ultimatums.

Now instead of admitting your folly, you're simply saying "nu uh! wanna bet!"

They havent done anything with his contract yet.

Care to enlighten us on some of the deals that the "smart" GM has signed guys to since he took over in 2009?

And guarenteed money was involved.

Friendly wager? When I'm proved right, you have to change your Drew Bledsoe avatar to something else. Like Troy Aikman for example.

Yeah, I bet they won't either. Right?

Are you comparing signed guys versus yearly restructuring contracts of players already on the roster?

Are you being intentionally daft?

The article in FWST todays says they are likely to "adjust" his deal soon, doesnt say how or give any specifics.

Did they sign guys to stupid contracts and give them a bunch of up front "guaranteed" money?

Predict what they will do to his deal, please. I'm curious what you think the team is going to do here.

Its apparent they've decided to keep him and believe he can have a significant role in the new scheme. That said, with his decline in play, being oft injured and his recent DWI, its very possible they tell him he just has to take a paycut. I'm not sure sure what his contract numbers are for this year.

what do "guaranteed" money mean?

what do "guaranteed" money mean?

Was glorydays point that the Redskins no longer sign players?

Or that they've stopped continuously restructuring deals and pushing money to future years for already in place players.

Take your time on this one.... mmm'kay?

I get what you are saying fuckstick.

But the point is guaranteed money is guaranteed money. It still counts regardless of how it gets there.

One train of thought is signing free agents from teams initially is far more risky than resigning/extending your own players, but I'm sure that possibility flew right over your head.

I like emulating you. You've reached a level of asshatism that the rest of us can only dream of.

I think we were obviously right about Felix's talents. He is great in space, and he showed crazy talent his first couple years he just couldn't stay healthy. Then last year he just shit all over himself and was absolute garbage.

:lol nice analogy.

At least we're not the Panthers or Jets. There is some salary cap hell, and it's gonna get worse, especially for Carolina.

Because there's a group of people here (and other places) that are only content if they bitch, piss and moan about something.

I can understand getting frustrated during a season when things dont go well (like alot of the last 3 seasons) but dont understand the offseason sulking and crying at all.

You don't understand why people don't want guys like Ratliff and Austin still on the team?

The Cowboys are $5m under the cap now and still not released Free, Spears or Connor. The cap went up a few million to give us the $5m after the restructures. If we cut Spears and Connor we are looking at $9m under the cap. Next year Free saves us $7m or $2m this year if cut. Romo restructuring would put us over $15m in space.

The funny thing is that guys contracts like Carr, Romo, Witten, etc will allow us to do this again next year. We can push any unused space this yearr to next year, the cap will go up again and we lose our Mara penalty.

People that cry about cap hell deserve to be laughed at.

I'm not equating the 2. You guys are ignoring the larger issues so that you can feel safe and comfy about the Cowboy's situation.
