Hale, who lived in Nashville, had legally purchased seven guns from five different local gun stores, the chief told reporters Tuesday.

Hale was under a "doctor's care for an emotional disorder," Drake said, and Hale's parents "were under the impression that was when she sold the one weapon" they believed Hale owned.

"As it turned out, she had been hiding several weapons within the house," Drake said.

Hale had a red bag when leaving home on Monday morning, Drake said. Hale's mother asked what was inside, but was "dismissed," according to Drake.

Hale's mother "didn't look in the bag, because at the time she didn't know that her daughter had any weapons," Drake said.

Muskets were the weapon of the day back then so that point has no merit. If you had a musket and a canon, you had a fighting chance against tyranny. And 2A doesn't say the right to keep and bear muskets. It says "arms." But these people can not think for themselves. They can not get beyond their ideology and see how it will affect every amendment. We can;'t pick and chose which ones we like or don't like.
It is a stupid argument if you do not understand why the 2nd amendment exists - or you choose to ignore it. The 2nd amendment is for the preservation of freedom, not for hunting quail.

But even if one assumes the 2A is only for self defense, the musket argument falls apart. A bad guy with a revolver defeats a victim with a musket. The point is, for people who are incapable of defending themselves with fists and knives, the gun is the equalizer. The victim always wants to outgun the attacker. That is how the victim survives.

But the left has never understood the purpose of the Bill of Rights or why each of those rights were articulated by the founders.

You wonder where we would be if the founders who fought for the bill of rights lost the argument. After all, there were founders who thought a list of rights would leave the impression that our rights were confined to the list, which is what often happens today. The compromise was the 9th amendment. But without the bill of rights judges could easily curb our rights and the Supreme Court would have no foundation to base their arguments. We would not have the right to own arms today if not for the bill of rights.

Which is EXACTLY why the left is so desperate to rid the Constitution of it.

They are all for eliminating the rights to bear arms, except of course for themselves and the armed security they insist they have at all times. (which in almost every case, is being funded by tax payers)

Mother of 6-year-old Richneck shooter charged; prosecutors look to further investigate security issues

NEWPORT NEWS — A Newport News grand jury on Monday indicted the mother of the 6-year-old boy who shot his first grade teacher at Richneck Elementary School three months ago.

Deja Nicole Taylor, 25, of Newport News — whose son shot 25-year-old teacher Abby Zwerner during class Jan. 6 — was charged with felony child neglect and a misdemeanor count of recklessly leaving a firearm so as to endanger a child.

Newport News prosecutors also asked a Circuit Court judge to impanel a special grand jury to “continue the investigation into any security issues that may have contributed to this shooting.” This could include looking at Richneck administrators, the school system and others.

Such a probe could take months — and could lead to more indictments.

“Their investigation will continue as long as necessary to determine whether others are criminally responsible for the shooting of January 6,” the Newport News commonwealth’s attorney’s office wrote in a news release Monday afternoon.

I laugh when the leftists in American scream about banning assault rifles. What they don't realize if the gun makers already have products that get around the assault weapons bas that exist in a number of states. Even after the ban you will be able to buy a 10 round AR-15 only it won't have a flash suppressor, forward pistol grip, or an adjustable stock. Otherwise it will be the same black gun firing the same ammunition as the "weapons of war" that are available today. The law bans cosmetic features, with the exception of the magazine. But larger capacity magazine will be easy to get for anyone who wants one. I am not suggested we should yield to the ignorant, on the contrary, we need to explain to them why they are so stupid.

Still, AP reporting no new information from Press Conference:

Alabama law enforcement officers Sunday were imploring people to come forward with information about a shooting that killed four people and injured 28 others during a teenager’s birthday party.

Among those killed was a high school senior who planned to play college football and was celebrating his sister’s 16th birthday. The shooting erupted Saturday night at a dance studio in downtown Dadeville.

During two news conferences Sunday, Sgt. Jeremy Burkett of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency did not take questions. He did not say if a suspect was in custody or if investigators knew about any motivation. He did not provide the names of those killed.

Pres. Biden called on Congress to “require safe storage of firearms, require background checks for all gun sales, eliminate gun manufacturers’ immunity from liability, and ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.”
-------------------- And none of that would have prevented this melee.---------------- But do go on with your "feel good" attempts.

Due to the department's manpower and resources, Dadeville Police Chief Jonathan Floyd said the Alabama State Bureau of Investigations is taking the lead with the investigation.

Hey Biden and Libtards, why should gun manufacturers be responsible for what users do with its product?

Now if the gun somehow malfunctions and kills somebody, I understand that. But I'm willing to bet that in 99% of gun deaths or injuries "malfunction" had nothing to do with it.

Today, on The View the strong statement was about a black person that was shot for going to the wrong door.

But.... there was no specific mention of the Alabama shoot-em-up that left 4 dead and 28 injured.

Democrats know the legal system has been rigged with corrupt judges and Juries. This is why they are trying to put gun makers on the hook for gun violence. They know that liberal judges and juries will not give a hoot about the law or logic. They want to ban guns and multi-billion dollar lawsuits against the gun manufacturers will shut them all down. But here is the real kicker. Once gun manufacturers go out of business, US law enforcement and military will be forced to buy imported guns, or the US government will subsidize gun makers to make military weapons.

Give Democrats credit. They play the long game by creating a system over time in which only they can win. They did it with the courts and now they are doing it with elections. Stupid conservatives are like the Dodo bird that refuses to see that they are being hunted to extinction. We are losing the fight because we are refusing to fight.

It's what the left does...they redefine terms. A "mass shooting" is not some punks getting into a disagreement at a birthday party or someone targeting a street opponent. Unfortunately, this stuff happens because there's a culture where it's allowed to happen and thrives because there's not a father figure at home and there's no home/family structure. No one will address the real issue(s) and if you do, you're a racists.

Just think of how many homicides go unsolved in some of these communities because there's a culture of not snitching. Of course, there's also the fear factor from retribution against any potential witnesses.

All I'm asking for is some Common Sense Knife Control.

Woman in critical condition after 3rd Davis, CA stabbing in 5 days; search for suspect, 2 dead

Overheard speaking to the dead victim's friends (probably): "We're sorry for your loss... But it would have been much worse if the stabber would have had access to a gun."

Every time there is a shooting like this the idiots on the left immediately start blaming guns instead of the culture of violence that infects this country. We have always had access to guns. In fact, year ago it was easier to get access to guns. What is happening now is a lack of respect for life, an inability to cope with conflict, and a subculture that glorifies violence and killing. Until we address the real issue, it will continue no matter how much gun control we put in place.

Say something about the youth in American that turns to guns to express their feelings.
