Michael Lombardi is reporting that the Jets are in discussions with free agent corner Nnamdi Asmougha.

Cromartie is probably on his way out. Can you imagine trying to throw on the Jet's if this happens?

We're fucked if true. First week is a loss.

We win 21-0 off three housed Zanchez throws.

So far the Jets are in discussions with Randy Moss and Nnamdi Asmougha, plus they've re-signed Holmes.

Sanchez would be an idiot if he couldn't complete a pass to one of those guys.

San Diego gave Weddle 8 mil a year?! That's more than Reed, Polamalu and Nick Collins. Now if someone can tell me where to buy a Men in Black memory eraser I'll be on my way to LaRon Landry's house.

Yeah. The Jets will go undefeated. I'm sorry, but as usual, you overreact too much. As good as Revis and Asomougha, they can only cover ONE MAN at a time like all the rest. We'll just have to rely on Witten and the other TEs and the RBs---in both passing and running game, for that game.

Nnamdi and Revis? C'mon Laz that's one hell of a duo. I hope we win but geez it's going to be tough.

I didn't say it was not. You have reading comprehension problems. Both of them can only still COVER ONE MAN AT A TIME. If they shut both Dez and Miles down. then that is where Witten has to be on his game. Witten can beat most LBs and safeties. You adjust. You rely on the running game more and include passes to the RBs in the flats. You run plays like bubble screens.

You must have loved Heath Shuler.

When I was in high school, I worked at Hardees on Alcoa Highway, not far from the UT Campus. Heath Shuler came through the drive thru. This was a few weeks prior to his draft. I asked him where he thought he'd end up, and without hesitation, he said "Oh, Washington." Without thinking, I said "Well, I'm a Cowboys fan, so I hope you bust."

He was not amused.

True story, amigo.
