I won't lol at that

I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think Haslett can get out of him what Capers was able to. On top of that, he had a much better surrounding cast around him than what he will have with the Redskins if he signs with him.

Reports: Plaxico Burress will meet with Giants on Wednesday
Posted by Mike Florio on July 27, 2011, 12:55 AM EDT

The unlikely courtship of Plaxico Burress by the New York Giants continues. On Wednesday, it hits the next level, when Burress reportedly will visit with the team.

According to Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger and Gary Myers of the New York Daily News, the parties will get together on Wednesday in the New York area.

Burress told Garafolo that the former Giants star plans to be candid when talking to the current Giants coach.

“I really don’t know what I’m going to say,” Burress said. “I’m just going to go in there tomorrow and speak from the heart, be truthful with him and let him know how I feel. Whatever comes out is going to come out.

“I’m pretty sure there are things he wants to say, too.”

And Burress was candid with Garafolo. When asked about prior comments that were construed as Plaxico saying he didn’t want to play for coach Tom Coughlin again, Burress laughed and said, “It’s not like I wasn’t telling the truth.”

Per Myers, the Texans, Rams, and Eagles also contacted Burress on Tuesday.

The scheduled visit comes at a time when it’s not clear whether free agents can visit with teams. Agent David Canter said via Twitter on Tuesday that visits can’t occur before 6:00 p.m. ET Friday. The Transition Rules on which the NFLPA leadership voted Monday are silent on this point.

We’ve sent an e-mail requesting clarification to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello. Like most normal human beings operating on Eastern Daylight Time, Aiello is likely asleep.

Their WR core would be sick if he's anywhere near the player he was a few years ago.

Weighing what options? Should I go to Seattle or bag groceries for the rest of my life?

Why don't you just lump all of the reports for each player under one thread? It'll clean up a lot of this clutter I'm wading through... Just sayin.

That would actually be a good signing for them - depending on the contract.

I hope they don't do it.

Coefield is a good player. The Redskins got better today. They might be a 5 win team now.

lol

Gotta love the hate ex-Cowboys get. If they declined under us without winning a Super Bowl they get nothing but vitriol spewed at them from the likes of our most classless fans. Barber was a good player and teammate for us and did his job every week. Not his fault Jerry paid him too much and not his fault he was starting when he shouldn't have. I wish him well with whatever team he ends up with.

Stallworth agrees to terms with Redskins

Stallworth agrees to terms with Redskins
Posted by Mike Florio on July 27, 2011, 9:34 AM EDT

Receiver Donte’ Stallworth is leaving Baltimore. But he’s not going far.

A league source tells us that Stallworth has agreed to terms with the Washington Redskins.

Stallworth was suspended for all of the 2009 season after pleading guilty to felony DUI manslaughter. He has played for the Saints, Patriots, Eagles, Browns, and Ravens.

He contributed nearly 700 receiving yards to the Patriots 16-0 season in 2007.

UPDATE: As an astute Twitter user points out, current Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett drafted Stallworth in 2002 with the Saints. Surely, Haslett had some input in this one.
