    The never-ending POTUS Election thread....

I have more confidence in the data and statistics at http://fivethirtyeight.com/ . To me, here's the troubling thing about the partisan conservative polls -- if they use poor data collection and analytic techniques, and people believe them (that the conservative candidate(s) is/are ahead) ...

    2016 NFL Week #6: Dallas Cowboys (4-1) @ Green Bay Packers (3-1)

Given how many things are going right for this team, it doesn't seem farfetched to think they could also pull off a key trade. This team is on a roll.

    The never-ending POTUS Election thread....

I remember watching FOX News on the night of the 2012 election. The entire set was stunned because they had believed faulty partisan conservative polls that turned out to be very inaccurate. You may be setting yourself up for a repeat, dbair. I don't think Trump is doing particularly well now.

True or False: Tony will be a Cowboy next year

I'd assume that Romo would be much more desirable / marketable than Cutler. The health factor goes against Romo, but otherwise he's the clear choice, isn't he?

CBS Boston: Arrogance, Deceit, Oversaturation At Root Of NFL’s Ratings Decline

So what percentage of the decreased ratings would folks here guess is due to the Kaep factor? It seems to me that over the past 30 years, the NFL became less and less focused on dedicated, die hard fans, and assumed a new mission - to appeal to as many people as possible, no matter how...

link Arrogance, Deceit, Oversaturation At Root Of NFL’s Ratings Decline By Michael Hurley, CBS Boston BOSTON (CBS) — Ratings are down in the NFL, and everybody’s got their theories as to what is the root cause. Some are more valid than others. But the problem in trying to diagnose the issue...

Norv Turner getting looks from college teams

cmd - How is Pete Carroll remembered at USC? Fondly? Negatively (what with NCAA sanctions)? Norv's resume has some similarities to Pete Carroll's (pre-Seattle) resume: Pete Carroll Pacific (1973–1976) - Graduate assistant Arkansas (1977) - Graduate assistant Iowa State (1978) - Secondary...

True or False: Tony will be a Cowboy next year

If/When the Cowboys inform Romo that they are going with Dak, Romo could request a trade. If he does request a trade, it'll happen. An interesting part of the story will be how much input Romo has in choosing/approving the specific team to which he is traded. If a trade happens, it'll be...

    Who you got? Week 7

They may have a bad week and lose a game somewhere along the line, but damn, there are times when Alabama looks like they have an all-star at every position and several more on the bench.

Looking at stats through 6 weeks

The offense has been pretty great and has the stats to back it up. The defense isn't great, but is playing reasonably well. Their stats are adversely impacted by end-of-the-game situations when coaches would gladly allow slow, time-consuming drives to the opposition to help the Cowboys to...

    Day After Thoughts- Week Six

They could be this good, but we don't know yet. Contrary to what we may have thought, it turns out that the Bengals and Packers aren't that good. So the Cowboys haven't been tested by a top team yet.

Trading Dez Bryant would be idiotic; the 'genius' plays Cowboys made vs. Packers

Linehan is doing some good work. It has been a pleasure to watch this offense so far this season. Linehan has been very creative. I don't know how he did it, but Linehan has somehow managed to help Dak Prescott bloom in no time at all (really, in no time at all), which is truly remarkable...

    Peter King- The Dallas Dilemma

Dak plays within himself (i.e., he doesn't try crazy shit) and is typically quite conscious of ball security. That's his nature. That's who he is. The young, inexperienced Romo wasn't that way. He did learn (the hard way), though.
