Per the Mort/Shefter report this week:

At least one and possibly two colleges are closely looking at Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner as a head-coaching candidate, per a league source. Whether he would be interested is an entirely different issue, but colleges do have interest.

Unfortunately no. He is going to do enough to where the team won't fire him 1-year into his deal. Had he lost 2 of the 3 to Colorado, Arizona State, and Arizona, I think he was done, but they won all 3.

As ZeroClub noted, Norv actually has ties to USC. He isn't the name coach I would want but he'd be better than Helton.

Fondly. Some people felt he abandoned us but I think he knew the NCAA was going to railroad us and made a smart decision. The school thought so highly of them they have hired 3 of his disciples since he left.
