so you'd prefer giving government the power of job creation. Brilliant. Let them have even more control.

The government should be there to do what the people can not. People can create jobs.

My CCC example flew right over your head.

I'm not talking about creating manufacturing or doctor jobs here.

Just jobs that improve the nation's infrastructure and are relatively easy to get started in.

It's a major step forward in reform. Period. If it costs me more now to do it to fix it in the long run then so be it. I'll be more than happy to oblige if it means getting and keeping all these lowlife pieces of shit off my payroll in the future.

Why do you think this a major reform?

What about this law changes anything significantly about the welfare system?

How many people do you think this will screen out?

Your reading comprehension needs some work.

Did you not say this a major step forward in reform?

What about this can be considered a major step anywhere?

What would have to happen in your opinion for this to be a major step forward ( your words not mine).

LET ME REPEAT IT'S A MAJOR STEP FORWARD BECAUSE IT SPENDS A SHITTON OF MONEY TO ACCOMPLISH ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

It is a major step forward. You said I called it major reform. It is one step of many that need to be taken to overhaul this ridiculously broken system.

Maybe if we put enough of these major steps together we can eventually dedicate half of our national spending towards catching the tiny percentage of people on welfare who don't deserve it.

Such a broad statement.

So, since you've already thrown out the 2% number I'd assume that's your tiny percent. And that number was used by you as the drug users. So the other 98% percent of them are just hard working people down on their luck, eh? Iamtdg is talking about a whole system that's broken. You commented on that, so again, I must assume that you figure the other 98% are deserving of aid.

Do you have any evidence to prove that the other 98% are not deserving of aid?

I'll need to see some pie charts and survey results before I can comment further on the official tiny percentage.

Some of us suffer from this horrible ailment called common sense.

I use that as exhibit A.

You have any proof that the 98% are deserving of aid?

Stupid question, but figured I would return the favor.

Common sense - the same thing that determined the sun traveled around the earth and we were placed here 6,000 years ago by a wizard.

People on welfare are receiving aid, and have been through the application process to do so. Therefore the default assumption is that they deserve it. If common sense has any empirical evidence to show this is not true (and in what quantity it is not true) then common sense is welcome to present it.

Go to google. Or to youtube. There are endless examples. Also, using your own eyes and common sense could prove helpful. And this example doesn't even touch on the people that pump out kids at sickening rates so their monthly check increases.

And here's a video specifically for your assumption that if they apply, they deserve. Which only lends credence to Iamtdg's statement about fixing the entire program.

You seem to have this picture in your heads of welfare recipients as all Maury guests shitting out kids and getting high. Many veterans who come back are utterly lost about what to do next.

Maybe if OBAMA would stop outsourcing all the jobs

mb4 had it right on the first page. might as well lock the thread.
