I liked Parcells' philosophy towards the draft .ie picking players from predominantly major college programs, but he missed on a lot of those.

Everybody misses. Nobody is perfect in the draft and Parcells certainly had his share of blunders. However, the good personnel people have more good than bad at the end of the day. They make the team better and keeps the team on top.

The team was definitely better after Parcells time than before it.

Better said than I could have.

Another thing that annoys me at the Zone is that they always want to sweep what Parcells did in Dallas under the rug, call his time in Dallas a failure, etc. He totally changed the direction of the franchise.

Parcells brought in this team's current core and got them into the playoffs in just one season. He was by far the best thing that happened here since SB 30.

In fact, the team he left was able to go 13-3 without a legit coaching staff. Thank goodness for Parcells. This team would be competing with Washington for last place every season if he never had come around.

I never understood why. Is as if they were toting the company line since Jerry resented all the attention BP was getting when in Dallas.

Eh. When we see it happen repeatedly with pads on or more importantly, in the preseason games then I'll worry.

There's essentially 4 new starters on the OL right now if you count Free and Smith flipping sides, it takes time to build cohesion on the OL. This is the first real work Callahan has had with any of them.

Come off it dbair. Costa is still getting blown back, knocked back, and a hindrance just like last year. Callahan may be a good Oline coach, but there is nothing he can do for Costa. HE SUCKS. Yeah, he's a real hard worker and has tons of heart, but so did Rudy Ruttiger. And we will be stck with him, because Jerry will try to save face.

How do you know, have you seen it?

I honestly dont know what he is right now. I'd rather reserve judgement after I see the games.

I will say its too bad Kowalski and Nagy got hurt though, they would have been legit competition for him. Hopefully Bernadeau ges out there tomorrow or Monday and maybe starts getting C reps.

I haven't seen it for myself this year in TC, but I've read about it, abnd from what I've read it appears to be the same from what I have SEEN. Speaking of which was is the seriousness of Kowalski's injury? Any timetable. I'm truly believe that Kowalski would have beaten out Costa.

I didn't mention it in my other post but Dwayne Harris looked really good yesterday.

Didn't he drop a TD catch and some punts?

I heard he looks like a typical Ginger RKG out there. All the qualities of a Costa in a skinny dark body.

A few players dropped some punts so possibly. I noticed the writers, who were kneeling in front of me, kept mistaking Saalim Hakim (#13) and Harris (#17) and Hakim dropped a few. The plays I noticed him he looked sharp and quicker. He looks like he lost some of that lower body thickness he had last year.

That's good. I'm hoping he steps up and becomes reliable.

This was the blurb I read:

Bryant handled punts with WR Dwayne Harris and Murray. Bryant might not have the proper technique all the time while catching punts, but he is sure-handed. Harris dropped his first two punt attempts and hung on for dear life on his third. Harris later dropped a pass.

OLB Anthony Spencer won't practice this afternoon with a slight hamstring strain .. That means more reps for Victor Butler

calexmendez
Pat McQuistan taking third-te!am snaps at right guard. Tyrone Novikoff other side. #cowboyscamp

@Calvin Watkins
An Andre Holmes sighting. He made a catch. The Big Three is no more. Earlier Felix Jones showed a little wiggle vs. Ware.

‏@DMNRainerSabin
Cowboys RB Felix Jones was lined up in the slot on one play. Using him as a receiver may be a way to get him on the field more frequently.

‏@toddarcher
David Arkin taking all of the second team center snaps.

‏@tom_orsborn
No surprise considering how he's played that Church is still running 1st team even with Pool finally on field.

It's not good when Phil Costa gets bowled over in a walkthrough
