Who did Mosely have us taking last year at this time?

At first I believe he said we were interested in Smith. Then a week to ten days before the draft began telling everyone via internet and radio that he knew for a fact the Cowboys would not take Smith, and instead actually preferred Costanzo and Solder to him.

Hearing that the #Cowboys are heavily leaning towards Alabama safety Mark Barron w/ the 14th overall pick #NFLDraft

While I had much rather have DeCastro, I wouldn't shoot my TV if this turns out to be our pick.

I'm absolutely no interested in taking him at 14. That would piss me off to no end.

Have no idea why, he's a good player.

Woudl upgrade a position we have sucked at for quite a few seasons now.

You have no idea?

How about because games are won in the trenches, and we are in dire need of a youth injection/talent injection on both lines?

Or

He's an in the box safety who benefitted from playing on arguably one of the best defenses in NCAA history, in an SEC with poor QB play, and on a team with a suffocating pass rush?

Or

Taking a safety who doesn't dominate games at the top half of round one is foolish.

Or

2013 looks to be a healthy class for safeties

We need help at several positions, not just one.

And for a guy that some keep classifying as "in the box safety" he sure does get his share of interceptions and passes defensed. And when you watch his highlight tapes, his ints arnt coming off lucky defelctions, he's making plays on the ball.

He has ball skills. I really don't think we should go safety at 14 since we just got Pool, but like I said it would be worse.

Poor QB play + great front 7 = a lot of interceptions

Not everybody Alabama has played for 3 yrs is a poor QB. They've played alot of good teams.

He's an excellent player. Isnt my first choice, but if we end up with him I can see everyone being quite happy a couple years down the road. He's a likely probowler IMO.

Cowboys did not show up for Peter Konz Pro-day. A lot of rumors were interested in him........

Considering that our OL coach already went there to work him out privately and that Konz is on the scheduled list of people coming to VR, I dont think this matters

Lot of heat on Barron and the bama boys on twitter tonight.

I get the "these guys aren't shitheads" quotient. But none of them are really elite to me. I want another Tyron caliber blue chip player. Not a safety who will get everyone lined up and make tons of garbage time running the clock out tackles
