So according to you, a "safety valve" = go to guy?

Yes! He's a guy that Romo looked for when he was being rushed out of the pocket and on the run?

Are you that stupid? What else do you even think the term means? When things broke down, he looked for Crayton. Good Lord.

Crayton was a bit of a go to guy on 3rd downs. He had a ridiculous conversion rate on 3rd downs.

Crayton was open all those times because the "go to guys" were getting blanketed by the defenses.

That is all.

Are you that stupid?

No, but appearantly you are.

What else do you even think the term means? When things broke down, he looked for Crayton. Good Lord.

A go to guy is your lead horse. Calvin Johnson. Miles Austin. Roddy White/Tony Gonzalez.

Those are the go-to guys.

If other players are able to make plays based on the defenses not being focused on them, then that does not make them "go to guys."

Tony didn't look for Crayton. Tony found Crayton after his first two or more options were covered.

Get it?

He didnt look for Crayton until after he looked for guys like TO and Witten, and sometimes even after Barber

Yea, how stupid of me! He wasn't a go to guy! He was a guy that when the play broke down Tony looked to often because he always knew where he would be and felt comfortable with him in the game! That's not a go to guy at all! That's just a guy you go to alot because he gets open for you and knows how to read the coverages like you do! Duh!

How stupid of me...

There's a reason Romo said he felt a certain comfort zone with Crayton and a reason why Tony didn't want to see him go. You guys can act like morons all you want, but when it comes from Tony's mouth, there's really nothing to debate here. Use the term safety valve, go to guy, comfort option, whatever you'd like.. Crayton was a guy that Tony wanted here, and a guy he liked having in the lineup, and a guy he went to alot when he needed a big catch or a big first down. End of discussion.

No no.. you leave right now with your facts and information.. we're all about agendas here and trying to pile on even when we have no idea what we're talking about.

Wait.. is this CZ? The new Hos, WG, and Reality? Twat, Dbag, and Rock? lol

Partly, the other part was he was always were Romo trusted him to be at. Knowing the soft spots in a defense. A go-to guy is sometimes just a guy that you go to when it's crunch-time, and Crayton was exactly that for Romo.

Exactly. Like Crayton, Ogletree needs to go too.

Give him more time...I think he is going to come around.....

I also think at some point Harris will mentally be ready to help this year also..

Don't forget in 04 early on in crayons career he couldn't beat out Terrance copper or dedric ward....

Hopefully robinson will give us some good snaps and KO will improve till miles and DEz get healthy.

How lucky Phillip Rivers is to have a "go to guy" like Crayton on his team.

The Chargers, despite all their injuries/holdouts at receivers last year, only go'd too'd Crayton 28 times last year. And they've only go'd too'd him 5 times this year.

Maybe if the Chargers would get their heads out of their asses, and built their offense around Patrick "Go-To Guy" Crayton, they'd average more than the 27 points per game over the past year +.

amirite?

Crayton isn't all that, but he'd easily be the #3 guy in Dallas, which says alot about the scrubs we have backing up Dez and Austin.

You're the guy trying to tell people an offenses third or fourth option at best is a "go to guy."

You're really starting to remind me of the douches over at CZ who latch on to one phrase and try and use it to their advantage in a discussion, when really it just makes them look like a total jackass. Like "Romo basher".

Refer to my earlier post, but whether you call it a go to guy, a comfort option, safety valve, whatever.. Crayton was a guy that when the play broke down Tony loved to look for because they had a comfort and understanding with each other and Tony would always seem to know where Crayton would be, as well as Crayton seemingly always knowing where he needed to get to. Again, there's a reason Tony liked having Crayton in the lineup and didn't want to see him go. The end.

And I love how, instead of simply saying "I mispoke", you're trying to deflect by suggesting that every offensive player could potentially be a "go to guy".

Did you see that catch Fiamenta had in the Skins game? Yeah... Romo looked for him on that play because others were covered. He's a "go to guy."

Oh.. i didn't. I said he was a go to guy for Romo.. because he was. I don't know what else you call a guy that when the play breaks down, Tony looks too often. As well, whenever we needed a big catch or a big first down, Tony looked his way often as well. He didn't look to him becaue Crayton was the only one open alot of the time (which is only saying more about Crayton, btw) but because he always knew where Crayton was going to be, and because Crayton knew how to make adjustments and find a soft spot in the coverage alot. Again, all reasons Tony himself said he didn't want Crayton to be shipped out. Keep going with this though, you're really digging yourself out of the hole.

Maybe you're confusing go to guy with #1 receiver? Either way, the debate has ended.
