They can "not respect" him all the way to a playoff birth for us anytime they want.
Yeah, we wouldn't have gone to the playoffs without Crayton. Good call.
Hey... remember that clutch catch he had at the end of the Giants game that year? Wait... uh... nevermind.
Point is, he made big catches at critical times and was key on converting first downs often for us and was a favorite of Tony's,
He was a favorite of Tony's? Really? Is that why he was averaging like 35 receptions a year?
lol
and a guy he looked to often when we needed a play.
Wait... I'm confused. Are you confusing Jason Witten with Patrick Crayton?
Because, you know, Jason Witten is, and always has been, the guy Romo looks for when he needs a play. Miles has emerged as that guy since 2009.
Those are the guys Romo LOOKED for when he needed a play.
Crayton was a guy Romo FOUND when those two (substitute Owens for Miles pre-2009) were covered. That's usually why Crayton's most memorable receptions were on plays where Romo danced a jig and dodged 20 tackles in the backfield before FINDING Crayton, who benefitted from having one of the opponents worst coverage guys on him.
And there inlies the difference.
