Makes no sense.
Murder and manslaughter are the same crime except that murder has an element of intent. If Zimmerman's charged with murder and the jury feels like he didn't intend to kill Trayvon, they can still convict him of manslaughter if they think he acted recklessly, etc. Lesser included offense.

He didn't pick a fight, he simply asked Trayvon what he was doing. Trayvon, doing what came natural to him, started swinging.

hmmmm... I knew he waived the stand your ground hearing before the trial, but I thought he was still going to claim stand your ground to the jury.

I heard him tell a knock knock joke and thought it was strange, but I didn't hear the "punchline." The prosecutor's face is hilarious.
