so zimmerman knew trayvon was in fights and stole stuff before?
all i'm out to do is understand why someone got so upset that they were asked why they were in a gated community. did he have to respond w/violence? how many times before in this country has a neighborhood watch person asked someone why they were in their community?
i also take issue with it being forced into a racial issue when zimmerman, as far as i've ever heard, never used any racial commentary. i'm sick and tired of that card being played by jesse jackson and company as if it's a "get out of jail free" card that can forgive them of any responsibility for their own actions.
as far as what zimmerman did, best i can tell it was:
1. noticed trayvon acting funny (and yes pizza boy thc can make you do that so shut the fuck up with stupid non-connected extremes)
2. called 911 and said he was going to follow
3. trayvon notices being followed
4. zimmerman being told NOT to follow
5. zimmerman loses track of trayvon anyway and goes back to his truck - NO LONGER FOLLOWING trayvon.
6. trayvon comes up to zimmerman and asks him what his problem is
7. zimmerman asking him who he is
8. trayvon starts hitting him making threats
9. zimmermans head is being banged on the ground and he's calling out for help
10. gun comes into play
11. trayvon, tragically, is killed in the process.
i'm not saying zimmerman did everything right OR wrong. i AM saying trayvon screwed up quite a few opportunities also along the way. at this point one life has ended and the other will be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life.
to dismiss one sides actions to shed more guilt on another, well that's a sad part of the state of our society. selective responsibility.
