Why would Martin attack Zimmerman when he was just trying to get home?

Who attacks anybody when they are trying to get home and watch the NBA allstar game?

We do know for fact a Zimmerman followed after Martin and was upset while on the 911 call, why did he do that when he knew the cops were minutes away?

These types of questions can and will be asked by both sides.

And once again I don't think it was murder.

Beats me. Maybe he took offense at being questioned. Maybe he tried to run away but Z grabbed his arm. Maybe Z pulled a gun on him prior to the skirmish. That's for the trial to resolve.

Z made two big mistakes: not obeying the cops' advice to stay put and not intervene, and running around the neighborhood with a loaded gun like a latter-day Dirty Harry.

Nope. Nu uh. I'm completely unbiased. No slant to my arguments. None.
And once again I don't think it was murder.

See? Just proved how unbiased I am.

Second part is right. That was not smart. But he didn't disobey a cop. It was a 911 dispatcher that said something along the lines of "That's not needed" in regards to him following Martin.

WTF about that is biased?

I was just asking the same questions that BB did to point out the fact they work both ways and even then I said they are questions both sides have the right to ask to bolster there cases.

You are really reaching now.

We seem to be on the same page my biggest issue with all of this has been that I wanted it to get in front of jury.

lol

Reaching. Sure.

Go between this board and the DCC and reread your 200+ posts on the subject. Pretend you're reading somebody else. Maybe you'll see it then. But I doubt it.

Define "instigator"? Did Z deserve to be attacked just because he stopped or questioned Martin? He had a Constitutional right to do exactly that. If I criticize a fellow driver in Walmart's parking lot for taking up two spaces, does he have a right to kick my head in just because I initiated the encounter? Of course, these hypotheticals are based on Z's side of the story, and he could very well be lying through his teeth. If the prosecutor proves exactly that, I'll have zero sympathy for him. But the rush to judgment by the media and assorted race hustlers has been appalling.
Right, I'm sure Z will have a side of the story that will make it look like self-defense. But if there are witnesses who are saying that Z was chasing TM, that he was on top in the skirmish, that the skirmish was essentially over and both of them were standing there and TM was pleading for his life while Z pointed the gun at him and then unloaded, it's going to be devastating to a self-defense theory.

When I say instigator, I'm more referring to the person who made this encounter into a life-threatening situation. Nothing I've heard yet has me thinking that was TM. These witness accounts leaked int he past couple of days has only further made me doubt Z's story.

?

If the state is filing charges, the burden of proof is on them. Hell, Z doesn't even have to take the stand. Assuming he has a competent attorney, the witnesses' evolving stories will be attacked on cross.

lol, c'mon counselor. You should know that. Isn't that in Chapter 3 of the Lawyer's Handbook?

The fact remains we don't know who attacked who, he could have gotten those injuries from martin defending himself, there are witnesses that give credence to that occurring as well.

You do realize you can attack somebody and still have the most injuries, shouldn't martin have the right to "stand his ground"

This line only proves bbgun's point.

I think we need to do a Mock trial here at the DCU.

Prosecution - peplaw
Defense attorney - bbgun
Al Sharpton - superpunk
George Zimmerman - Bob Sacamano
Jury aka "Not Guilty announcers" - Midswat
Trayvon Martin - jiggyfly

To make this as real as possible, I'm gonna need you to take a slug to the chest, jiggyfly.

I'm going to play the part to a T of what really took place:

I shoot jiggyfly in the chest point-blank with no prompting (because like Zimmerman, I am racist). Then I grab his dead, lifeless body and make pretend that he is attacking me. I roll around and bang the back of my head against the concrete. Then Dudley Do-right, police officer, theebs comes to make the arrest.

You need a judge. I can easily be bought, so I qualify for this position.
