"On Dec. 19, 1986, a car carrying Griffith, 23, and three pals broke down on Cross Bay Blvd. in Howard Beach, Queens. After eating at the New Park Pizzeria, the four men were attacked by 10 white men. Griffith tried to flee, but was run over and killed.

It wasn't racially motivated / they were standing their ground / etc

and this relates to Zimmerman ... how?

finding one random self-loathing black person who agrees with them - the last bastion of the racist

That "random self-loathing black person" happens to have a lot more credibility than some white hipster getting angry about something they have zero true real experience with. You know...like you.

let's see: white racists attacked stranded black motorists on purpose, and could not use self-defense as an excuse for doing so. in other words, the exact opposite of the Zim-Martin encounter.

you mean when someone followed a black kid because he thought he looked suspicious then attacked him and claimed he stood his ground because well fuck...that darkie ain't around to say otherwise anymore.

yeah they're totally different I guess you're right.

self defense wink wink

didn't she get the memo? she's supposed to consult privileged, white, California stoners before issuing public statements.

She almost got it right. Except for nothing about the non-black.

I love how she begins by saying that she doesn't know what to make up her mind about concerning the facts of the case, but her narrative falls to, "yeah, of course you have a right to be up in arms about this."

because this was written last march. "i needs a black person who agrees with me - to the archives, batman!"

So she's suddenly stripped her gears and is now cozying up to Sharpton and Jackson now because the cracker got off?

Prove it.

Maybe you should go read my post again counselor. The last line in particular.

An aggravated assault charge still wouldn't overcome self-defense. Oh, but JBond did a google search of the statute... he probably knows more about it then.

were we watching different trials? when was it established that Zim attacked first? and why do so knowing the police were en route? hell, based on the radio transcript, he didn't even know for certain that Martin was black, yet to you this is a repeat of the King assassination.

listen genius, if you can't follow along with simple thread discussions then kindly fuck off.

bob was wondering why she would say something like this?

I love how she begins by saying that she doesn't know what to make up her mind about concerning the facts of the case, but her narrative falls to, "yeah, of course you have a right to be up in arms about this."

Because it was written fucking 18 months ago and this was a woman preaching caution before we have all the facts. Who knows what she thinks now, but it certainly won't stop the white robe brigade from proudly trotting her out left and right.

That still didn't help me any.

Sounds like she sided against George Zimmerman from the onset. The more she kept talking that is.

how do you know who attacked those people first, all we have is a blurb. maybe ten whiteys saw some suspicious looking darkies and followed them until they felt threatened and retaliated.
