When this gets to the SCOTUS I have little doubt John Roberts will side with the liberals against Trump. I feel strong that Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, and Barrett will be in favor of Trump if there is sufficient evidence. I worry about Kavanaugh. I think he may be the swing vote on this. Again that is only if there is evidence that would swing things to Trump because right leaning justices will not act politically. If there is clear evidence they should rule 9 - 0 but the left will ALWAYS side on the batshit crazy side whether there is evidence or not. I do not lump Roberts as a right leaning justice. He has made his choice to become a legislator from the bench rather than an arbiter of the law.

The left will NEVER vote against ideology of the party....EVER. This must be addressed or we'll be back here again in 4 years. At the end of the day, Trump can win PA but he still needs help in other states. I believe the fraud is there but I know how hard it is to uncover and then determine how many votes to discount. It really is third world shit. I can't say it enough.

We have some hints about what SCOTUS will do if these cases get to them. They will make every effort to ensure every vote is counted. That's what happened in Florida in 2000. That means they are not going to rule to throw out any votes that appear legitimate. I am not even sure they will toss late votes. The argument will be, even though the Pennsylvania Supreme Court acted unconstitutionally (and it did), the voters played by the rules the court provided them. Hence, the late votes will count. The only votes that may not count are those that came in late with no postmark. But I doubt even those will be tossed.

This case is a slippery slope. If SCOTUS rules that the PA SC acted illegally and then throws out all the votes that did not meet the requirements of the law the legislature passed, and teh PA SC circumvented, then why not throw out all mail-in ballots in NJ, where mail-in voting was implemented on executive order of the governor without legislative approval?

I am betting Trump gets recounts in PA, GA, WI, and AZ. Maybe Michigan. I will bet they find thousands of illegal votes that will be tossed out, mostly from people voting in two states, dead people and other nonsense like that. They may even catch some errors made by the counting software that seemed to have some kind of problem giving Trump votes to Biden. It's that last one that gives Trump the best chance of flipping states from Biden to himself. We already know that the computer "glitches" changed as many as 27,000 votes from Trump to Biden in once instance. How many more of these errors will they find? It will only take 1 in each of the contested states to change the election for Trump.

The results currently lean towards Biden

So the left is saying that we need to accept the results of the election, to trust the process, there is no fraud, no illegal votes being counted

We used to have compromise and discussions but no longer. Now we just change the rules to meet our goals. We have a small, yet pretty sharp group here with the exception of that tool Number 1 or whatever his name is. I enjoy the dialogue and even the opposing view......

SCOTUS can not rule the actions of the PA Supreme Court as unconstitutional and yet let the count stand. That opens the door for every state to go to a judicial body of their party and look to change the rules of the legislative branch. It throws the system of checks and balances into complete chaos. At some point, the PA legislature has to decide who gets the electoral college votes.

Either way, it's a complete shit show. A cluster fuck of epic proportions. And the Dems saw it coming and planned for the unrest.....

I have no problem with opposing views or opinions. The problem comes when someone states something as fact, doesn't back it up, then ignores facts to the contrary of what they said, but then keeps saying it anyway. And even rephrases it with loaded questions like "Ok then when did he become racist?" It's fallacious and dishonest dialog, it's the classic "when did you stop beating your wife" fallacy. It's a cheap dishonest mealy-mouthed thing to do and I also consider it hostile, attempting to limit direct replies to be those that serve the questioner's agenda. Or, done simply to be inflammatory. It's got nothing at all to do with an opposing view. It's got to do with honest dialog.

I don't sweat that in sports threads or really anywhere else here except in political threads where I expect honest discussion and am not tolerating these troll tactics for very long.

You are probably right. The funny things is the left used to fight to get mail-in votes thrown out because they were usually military or elderly who both lean right when they were relevant when the vote was close enough to actually count them. Many times they are never counted if the difference in the regular vote is grater than the total number of mail-in ballots.
