even simpler when up 12 with 4 minutes to go newman gave up a 20 yard corner route he had already given up earlier on 3rd and I think 7?

no way that play is made on us this year.

That drive was like 7 on 7. That's why I wanted fresh blood in the front 7.

We should've lost @ Washington b/c they got 20 yards on a catch and run by a FB late in the game. Scandricks attempt at a tackle was to collapse in front of him and hope the guy tripped over orlandos lifeless body

yeah ratliff was hurt at that point and so was Ware and Brent was inactive. So we had an issue up front that night regardless.

Still had a 12 point lead though and a corner batting a ball down or catching one wins the game. Newman getting beat on the same corner route was just sickening.

not as sickening as dez bryant taunting cruz though, which made the giants sideline go crazy and pumped life into them right before they got the ball.

Sullinger now saying that just because a player has been drafted doesn't mean we can't get him. DeCastro still a possibility.

Close. We lost a high pick and possibly Jenkins to boot, so unless Claiborne is twice the player Jenkins is (doubtful), you're merely running in quicksand.

This is true.. But only for 2012...you don't draft based on the upcoming season only..Jenkins is gone..with or without Claiborne...you can't go into next years draft w Scandrick and Carr and nobody else..

That's why this trade makes sense

Was at the first game. All they did was throw to anyone Newman was manned up against in order to move the chains.

We put Newman on the Giants WR4 at one point, and Eli didn't even bother looking through progressions. Threw straight to WR4 McGee and then made his happy Eli face.

But he doesn't have to be "gone." By trading him or letting him go after 2012, they create an unnecessary need. We had bigger fish to fry than cornerback. So now we have the same old safeties, an erratic slot defender like Scandrick, and a draft pick who may or may not be better than Jenkins.

it seemed from the dolphins game on everyone did.

that corner route still pisses me off though, no excuse.

I'd have to see how he performs this year, but the Cowboys seem to have already have made up their minds. Paying two corners top $ isn't any more insane than paying two o-linemen handsomely. You think LT was the only Giants linebacker making good money in their heyday?

thats an odd comparison.

the issue is jenkins is already asking for carr money and here he is injured.

Its clear they dont include jenkins long term and I imagine they view claiborne as one of there two contract guys like ware, witten, romo, ratliff, newman etc..

They have a very good offensive line that protects Manning and a great defensive line that gets after the QB

They didn't even need there best db Terrell Thomas(hurt) or their first round pick Prince(hurt and rookie) to win the Super bowl last year

The Giants have a very good O-line?

They gave up more sacks than us and had a worse running game, the giants are a great example of a team overcoming a patch work o-line.

The Giants have a superior system in place and don't rely on having stacked units on the offensive side of the ball, something Garrett needs to be able to do.

I don't think Garrett likes him like he didn't like Bennett.
