yes it is.

Stretch smith said on with galloway today that Gruden told him last year that wade wilson is one of the smartest football minds he has ever met and is an excellent coach.

tfwiw.

I've never even heard of Stretch Smith prior to today, but Gruden chronically gushes over everyone, so I'd take that with a grain of salt. Plus, Parcells (one of the greatest coaches of all-time) fired Wilson's ass without hesitation, so with all due respect to ole Stretch here, I think I'll side with the HOFer's actions over 3rd party gossip.

Plus, I don't really need Stretch to educate me on Wade Wilson's effectiveness. Chicago could not wait to get rid of him, and he hasn't developed a single QB here in Dallas in all this time.

Chris Palmer has a track record with both Romo and Eli Manning now. That's the type of coaching I want for this team.

Wade can gather his steroids and limp dick, and promptly get the fuck out of here.

fair enough.

but chris palmer wasnt here long enough to apply credit/blame to romo.

romo has always credited david lee for meeting him late and early on off days to throw and work on his mechanics when he didnt have to, vinny testaverde for teaching him how to be a pro and take care of himself.

honestly those are the only honest non pc comments i have ever heard romo make regarding his development.

its pretty obvious though having a hierarchy of Parcells-payton-sporano/pasqualoni/haley/palmer/lee all helped him to be a better player.

Yeah Lee and Testeverde have always gotten the credit for developing Romo in my book, based solely on Romo's own words.

The only good thing I've heard about Wade Wilson is he "calms" Romo and serves as a sounding board for him.

How about we get a QB coach who can develop prospects, and get Romo so me valium.

just talked to werder...specifically asked him about garrett...asked him on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being strongest, what the likelihood of garrett being the HC in 2013 is?

he said 9+

So that means there is no way Garret is our coach in 2013

mosley now saying he is hearing callahan will take over as playcaller.

mosley seems mad, has to throw in that they should listen to him and hire gruden right away to replicate the tampa success.

also broaddus said he is pretty sure jerome henderson will be the secondary coach here, said he is well respected around the league.

would love to know how callahan is going to coach the line on gameday and call plays....that seems dumb and short sighted.

so if sporano is not coming here, who wants to bet they promote wes phillips to offensive line coach.

"Changes" ?

so we basically replaced an overrated DC with an over-the-hill DC. Watch out NFL, Dallas has retooled!

so it seems.

Why is it so difficult to have just a normal hierarchy? Parcells divided up the jobs because he was teaching the coaches what he wanted all those years, he called plays and had oversight when he wasnt for the most part.

Why do we need this now?

Make garrett the Head Coach, Callahan the OC, Hire an o-line coach, rb coach, te coach, wr coach........forget his running game coordinator and passing game coordinator crap.

drives me crazy why this organization takes these odd approaches to such crucial things like this.

callahan will call plays using whose offense? garretts?

it seems the same offense we have.

I guess garrett is just going to hand over the sheet.

I can not wait to see fans reaction to this. they are going to lose there bitching point on garrett, its his playcalling everyone hates, so what happens if callahan is a disaster? Do you fire everyone? Give jason the playsheet back?

What will everyone complain about if it works and callahan is a good fit? What will they complain about in regards to garrett?

We. Are. A. Joke.

that is overstating it.

But they need to settle all of this stuff

I am curious to see who fills out the defensive staff. The usc linebacker coach is apparently coming here and henderson is staying...
that leaves a d-line coach...and an assistant secondary coach most likely to be filled.

@nickeatman
Assistant strength coach Walt Williams not returning to staff next season. This is just the start - likely more changes to come

That's worth at least one win, right?

The joke comment was in regards to replacing the assistant strength coach. We seem to be in full scapegoat mode. I don't know, maybe he sucks but what does that move accomplish? Do the players even blink at something like that? No.

could be somehing simple like woicik has someone else in mind who he wants to work with. Walt williams might want to go with one of the new staffs and maybe didnt want to come back....

im not worried about who stretches the guys out three hours before the game on gameday.
