I must be super confused. :jerkoff

Either way, doesn't seem like many pro teams are calling this dude for a promotion, so I guess that DII paycut is looking better than unemployment. Good for him.

I wonder if Jason Garrett's other family members need jobs. We have several openings.

Sure its a Div 1 AA or whatever but Delaware has a lot of tradition. Before the current guy left, they had three straight college HoF coaches. The were in the championship game in 2010 and been in the championship game twice and won of them in recent history. He wouldnt be going to north by northeast south dakota A&m or something.

It's where he may end up.

Either way, with all the new coaching staffs in the pros looking to fill in pieces, it's quite telling that he's having to head down to the DII ranks for employment.

If you have a choice between a HC of a div iia school and say being a TE coach for cleveland, do you automatically take the NFL job? I really don't know the value system of all that.

If I undstand Theebs stance, and correct me if I'm wrong Theebs, his stance has been that people are overrated John Garretts fault. And underrating his experience.

The notion by the masses seems to be that John is a terrible coach who failed Bennett and only has his job because his brother Jason.

Yes. You automatically take the NFL job. Unless the situation is bad, like the head coach is on the last year of his contract and you'll likely be out of a job next year.

This is the NFL, for chrissakes. Once you're in the league, it's easy to network and get other jobs than it is going to a lower level college, taking a pay cut, and reducing your chance of getting back into the league.

I'm wondering why they are saying John Garrett is "disliked" by the rest of the Cowboys staff.

Maybe, but who knows.

Plenty of coaches hire their relatives to be on their staff whether its the HC hiring assistants or assistants recommending one of their relatives for positions. Wes Phillips is Wade's son, and everybody apparently loves him on the Dallas staff, including the HC.

I have said repeatedly that I don't know if John has done a good job or bad job. I would love for someone to break down the good and bad te coaches around the league.

Ali ever did was respond to a certain nitwits comments that John Garrett couldn't get an nfl job.

I simply pointed out that Garrett had 12 years experience as a wr, wb coach and as a scout in the nfl.

Nothing more or less.

But if all this guy is going to post is teh Garrett's is the suck....

Well whatever.

I'm wondering why they are saying John Garrett is "disliked" by the rest of the Cowboys staff.

Because Galloway and werder started this on espn 103.3 and then mortensen ended up using it as a national piece and called John Garrett by name.

65% at the minimum of cowboys fans had never heard of John Garrett before this I imagine.

So now it's go after John Garrett time.

Ooohhhh, Mosley and Galloway start saying he is not liked.....

Who cares.

Actually eatman just said decamillis has been given permission to leave.

The USC linebacker coach joe berry is not coming to Dallas with Kiffin.

Eatman is saying that there is a good chance all of Ryan's staff is staying, including eberflus.

So uh, apparently they just got rid of ol rob.

Guess Garrett really disliked that 15 yd penalty.

Reminds me of the last months of the Nixon Administration when Dick kept firing advisers and staffers to save his butt. Didn't work out too well.
