That said, we can see if any of these guys cut today or tomorrow end back up on the same team's practice squad
Right that would be cool to see but please, when posting the list exclude veterans and others who aren't PS eligible.

They meant he played for Tennessee in their fourth game, and therefore was not a early cut.

.

That's not what it says. Unless maybe he was cut the day after the final preseason games (which would be "prior to final cutdown")

What difference does it make? Obviously only rookies and certain 1st/2nd yr players qualify.

Maybe someone with a twitter act should post the question to Broaddus or some other NFL guy....I'm sure they know
I can see a scenario where this COULD happen. Let's say you cut Vaughan today, and another rookie QB. Your intent is to re-sign Vaughan, but somebody scooped him up so you settle for the other rookie QB you also cut, who cleared waivers. Just to have a thrower on the PS.

Only Dallas would be this stupid, but i suppose it is possible.

Because if you post the BIG list of ALL cuts, we would have to weed through that to find the eligible guys.

It doesn't matter, all we are looking for is if one of those teams signs one of their own cuts to their PS. Really isn't that hard to do.

If he was on the fucking roster for the last preseason game, he is NOT a "early cut" as we are talking about. You're working way to hard reaching for something that isn't there.

On DC.com there is an option to email their writers, so I emailed Broaddus and asked him.

We'll see if he replies. If he does I will post what he says.

Fair point. They can't sign a ineligible player. Good thinking.

I posted the article because the bolded comment clearly said he WAS cut before final cutdowns.

Again don't know why they put that in there, he clearly was on the roster for their last preseason game and even played in the game.

That means he does NOT fit the meter we are arguing. Period. He was not a early cut, he SURVIVED the cut down to 75 but not the 53.

Don't worry asswipe, I asked him the right thing
No need to get nasty, smegma head.

You don't even fucking get what we're arguing, or you wouldn't STILL be arguing the fucking Tennessee/Indianapolis guy!

Just to clear the mud:

I am talking about a early cut player, who did NOT make the 75 man roster.

Who then is re-signed by the same team that cut him, for the first PS roster.

I maintain it has never happened because there's not one logical reason why it would happen.

Do you GET now that he doesn't count for what we're talking about? I don't care if Broderick Crawford wrote it.

You googled it because you are reaching, grasping at straws. It's way too much effort for something that if you would just engage your brain on, you wouldn't have any argument.

I know what you are saying, but I still would bet it has happened. Practice squads go back a ways (early 90's?) and that's a lot of players and a lot of cut downs.

Why would it ever.... fucking.... happen? You cut a guy early, you don't even want him suited up for the last game, then you sign him to the PS?

No shit Sherlock. Again I didn't KNOW he had played in that last preseason game when I posted that. I googled "early cutdown player then signed to practice squad" and that came up. And it CLEARLY SAID "released prior to final cutdowns" in the article, did it not?

JFC dude.
