Schottenheimer did hire an OC who was a tremendous OL coach and run game developer didn't he.

McCarthy said a lot of stuff, never delivered on any of it. He also had a long track record as HC in GB where he didnt really run the ball much, and wasnt overly effective at it when they did. They ranked in the top-10 in rush yards one time while he was in GB and never ranked in the top-10 in rush attempts. Most years they ranked in the bottom half of the league in both and many years in the 20's.
jerry and his associates screwed this up right from the start. jerry wanted to keep mccarthy but fat mike finally grew a nutsuck and told him to go fuck himself.

then a "coaching search" for the head coach of the most valuable sports franchise on the planet started 1 week behind everyone else. i'm supposed to expect that this was the plan from the start and i should also trust the coordinator and positional hires because other teams were also interested? other teams are always interested when it comes to the cowboys.

mccarthy said a lot of stuff
garrett said a lot of stuff
jerry said a lot of stuff
stevie kind've tries making sounds and noises but he can't help being born that way

the point is that the cowboys are full of empty promises and they are content with other interests instead of actually winning

i would love to be wrong but i am not excited about the staff or roster or anything

You're right about Jerruh and his shitforbrainstrust but Fat Mike actually got done in by his new agent convincing him he'd be the bell of the ball on the market. He had a job, his agent talked him out of it. Now he's unemployed.

Most of us aren’t happy with the way Jerry runs the team and the decisions he makes. With a sub par quarterback like Dak, who they’ve made a ridiculous financial commitment to, the team has to make a serious commitment to running the ball and that means backs and linemen and coaches committed to the run if this team is ever going to make a run at a Super Bowl.

Could be another really good hire to the staff if it happens. He was Cooper Beebe's and Deuce Vaughn's coach as well.

We can only hope but with team Jones in charge the pooch is sure to be screwed
Or even to possibly draft a good RB and have good OL talent and even a good scheme/plan BUT the playcaller HC not knowing what to call.
Ugh, smh.

He's had some highly ranked running games as a playcaller, I don't think this will be a concern. Russell Wilson also had several of his best yrs with Schottenheimer as the playcaller.
