Some good info within, looks like was genuine interest in Carroll and Carroll had interest here.

Article also gives more background on Schottenheimer's "firing" in Seattle and that it wasn't really Carroll who did it.

Could be a really solid hire with the potential impact he will have to our run game scheme.

The last two seasons this has been our OL and run game numbers:

2024: Allowed 38 sacks, rushed for 1705 yds and 4.0 yds per carry. 6 rushing tds and only 3 "big" plays
2023: Allowed 40 sacks, rushed for 1920 yds, 4.1 yds per carry, 14 rushing tds, 12 "big" plays

The Cardinals under Adams the last two seasons:

2024: 30 sacks allowed, 2451 yds rushing, 5.3 yds per carry, 18 rushing tds, 17 "big" plays
2023: 42 sacks allowed (used 3 QBs), 2365 yds rushing, 5.0 yds per carry, 17 rush tds, 23 "big plays"

Rush game rankings:

Dallas
2024: 27th in rushing yds per game, 30th in yds per attempt.
2023: 15th in rushing yds per game, Tied for 12th in yds per attempt

Arizona:
2024: 7th rush yds per game, 2nd in yds per attempt
2023: 4th in rush per game, 2nd yds per attempt

Massive upgrade for us.
