I think garrett is head coach because of Stephen.
I have thought all along it has been Stephen convincing jerry that Jason can do this. I still think that.
I would be willing to bet anything that Stephen has the bond with Jason and its his guy.
Jerry likes shiny flashy things. I bet jerry is ridiculously pissed that he passed on his guy in jeff fisher after seeing how the rams improved so much in one offseason.
And yes Im guessing, but I really think this is the case. Garrett is stephens guy.

I really don't think much of ciskowski either.
all of these gm and front office positions are available and nobody from the cowboys organization gets an interview?

I think he is both there guys. I think thats why Jerry is going on the air bad mouthing the defense and defending the decision to fire Rob Ryan(which i am fine with)
Jerry is misdirecting people from Garrett and the shortcomings he has by killing the defense. Have we heard one statement from Jerry or Stephen how the offense was an issue and that Jason at times didnt get the job done.
To me that screams of Jerry's ego because he's been telling everyone for about 6 years that Jason is a genius football guy and that he is going to be a brilliant head coach. To fire him now would contradict what he has preached for so long
Thats why you need a GM to make those kind of decisions. Take personal feelings and ego out of football related decisions

I think the offense shakeup is coming right around the corner. Broaddus hinted it was on the verge of happening today.
I wonder if jerry and Stephen decided we will keep garrett to see if he can be the head coach to appease Stephen and jerry is insisting on proven assitants under him.
broaddus threw out monte kiffin this morning as a name.....and since andy reid Is thought to want to hire him he could be the guy we needed to act fast on....I guess.

and brian gaine is getting gm interviews.
brian gaine replaced bryan broaddus here in 06. He is a parcells guy....he put together the worst crop of free agents for our team ever in 06.
all we ended up with was kosier after signing like 6 guys. Jerry bitched about that for three years...
now he is getting gm interviews.
