The courts have already shot down attempts by Democrats to restrict gun ownership to 18-21 year olds. It is unconstitutional.

This is why the Democrats are already proposing to add 6 more seats to the Supreme Court. They would have a 9-6 majority. With this majority you can be certain they would pass laws restricting gun rights and freedom of speech, and they would legalize abortions from conception to birth.

No doubt

My guess is Trump has not actually carried a weapon for a long time, and he probably only carried when he was moving about the city in privacy, meaning he was not in camera range. But who knows.

I believe in constitutional carry, but I have to admit I have reservations. There are a lot of people out there who are not trustworthy. Some have hair-trigger anger management issues. Some are just stupid. The idea of these people carrying weapons does concern me a little bit.

Discharging a firearm like that is dangerous. But you do not own the airspace over your home. You cannot shoot at planes or drones flying over your home and claim you were protecting your property. I am surprised this guy doesn't know that. The right to bear arms does not include firing it anywhere and everywhere.

I'm a 2A guy but why do this? You just don't shoot a gun in public for BS like this. He should be charged. And he's probably a loon.
The thing wouldnt leave his property though. I thought it mentioned that it was hovering there for quite some time.

He didnt have the gun originally, he only went inside and got it after the drone was refusing to move. If he genuinely felt threatened by it, I really don't have a problem with him putting a bullet hole in the thing.

What.......does he live in the Ukraine where a drone strike is common? He's a loon. We all know that Amazon and others are using drones for deliveries. I mean, if there's a low flying chopper, does take a few pot shots?

But it hovered over his property for quite some time, and obviously he was not expecting any sort of delivery.

It's uncharted territory and who knows what response is appropriate? New Jersey is seeing a rash of unidentified drones - I saw a very large one creeping very close to my house in the summer - and it is unsettling. They've been spotted near water reservoirs, electrical transmission lines and police and military installations.

Given that a possible threat exists, and the military/local governments are not owning up, I might be agreeable to shooting them. That's why we have the 2nd Amendment. If the controllers of such things like Walmart and Amazon want to make use of drones, they should be clearly marked. I don't have to trust anybody at face value.

Several have been spotted meandering around Trump's golf club up there too.

I usually agree with my Amigo Dodger on everything gun and political related, but this drone thing is a little different for me.

Here's a scenario for you to consider.

What if you're a parent and your teenage daughter/s and maybe her friends are sitting out back at the pool in bikinis, and you spot a drone hovering over the backyard for an extended period of time. Likely to happen? Maybe not, but there are sick people all over the place.

I think if something like that happened to me (granted, I don't have any daughters) I'd be awfully tempted to shoot it down and I wouldn't give two shits if the owner of it complained.

Yeah, it's new territory for sure, but these things are obviously not cheap kids toys.
I don't blame any one for reacting defensively.
