John Beck and Rex Grossman are widely assumed to be competing for the Redskins starting quarterback job. Both have campaigned for the job in the media. Up until now Donovan McNabb has been quiet.

McNabb can be seen and heard on The Real Robinson Report on You Tube which is produced by Seattle Seahawks running back Michael Robinson

McNabb said, “For my Facetime: 2011 is different than 2010. For those who wanna sit back and dwell on what happened last year, so be it. But 2011's gonna be a special season. A season in which I feel that I've prepared myself well -- not just conditioning and strengthwise, but most importantly getting back to the fundamentals. And I look to display that in the 2011 season. And for those who feel like it can't be possible: I'll prove you wrong.”

I feel like we've had this discussion before.

Did you not watch him play in 2010?

We have. Did you not take into consideration what team he was on and how they operated in 2010?

Or his 2009 numbers?

You don't go from Pro Bowler numbers to being a "washed up bum" in one year.

It's pretty obvious he's back and better than ever.

Did his skills ever diminish? Or was he just put on a horrible team, with horrible ownership, and horrible coaching, in a circus like atmopshere?

Hmm.. nah, we all know how the Skins organization was in such good shape last year and for the past few years.

He's a guy who was never very accurate over his career but he made plays with his feet and extending plays to get the ball downfield.

As he's gotten older, he's losing that ability. He's being forced to be more of a pocket passer. And he simply doesn't have that skill set.

There's a reason why the Eagles parted ways with him. And were so confident in their decision that they moved him within the division.

He was a bad QB on a bad team.

Again with the "he's getting older, blah blah blah.." argument. Did he look older in 2009 when he had one of the best seasons of his career?

Or did all this talk start since he looked bad last season? Nah.. couldn't have been the team though.

..as for the Eagles letting him go, everyone knew Reid was taking a calculated risk because they thought Kolb was ready to shine. Turns out it worked out for them, but only because Vick was there to pick them up. It wasn't a knock on McNabb as much as it was they thought they had a guy who would be a very good QB in Kolb and they didn't want to keep him on the bench any longer.

It's not he's getting older, blah blah blah. He really is getting older and can't move around like he used to. He's lost his best weapon. Reid certainly wouldn't have given the reins to an unproven Kolb if he thought McNabb had anything left. And certainly wouldn't have moved him within the division if he had any concern he might be wrong about it. That speaks loud and clear to what the Eagles thought of McNabb at this stage of his career.

He's a spent player. Done. Because he doesn't have the mechanics to play the way he needs to now. He can't sit in the pocket and get it done at a high level. He never could.

We'll see if he gets traded.

He couldn't do it in Washington in 2010 why would he do it there in 2011? Maybe they trade him to a team with the same weapons he had in 2009?

Or his 2009 numbers?

You mean his first season with Maclin, Jackson, Celek and McCoy playing together? Even Kolb looked good playing with that group lol

Yes you do, especially when you are a replacement and no one wants to play the Pro Bowl. Young and Garrard were the AFC QBs that same year. lol

Nah.. Kolb actually didn't when he took over in 2010. That's why Vick remained the starter.

I think Vick remained the starter because of how great he played.

Sometimes you can have two quality QBs on your roster.

McNabb is a QB on a decllne in his career.

He doesn't move around out of the pocket like he used to to create plays.

It's one of the reasons Shanahan benched him last year, he's eaten too many cans of Chunky Soup.
