Felix is too carefree for me to rely on being the guy.

Give me a back who wants to be great. I'm tired of feeling like I care more than they do.

I'd keep him as the swiss army knife of the offense. I don't think I'd increase his touches much. Depends on what Murray does and whether Choice is still around.

And it takes a simpleton to compare Felix's YPT to actual full time RBs with twice the carries.

lol

Now trying to play the role of the wise board father. Please keep it coming.. tell us another "wise" cliche that you found on a google search?

That's right. I had to google search to see your IQ is double digits.

You probably actually laugh out loud when you LOL.

I agree if he got more carries his YPT would have gone down. How much? I dunno.. im all for giving him a chance to find out though. I think he's earned it and if we don't find out now we are doing ourselves a disservice. He's only 24, we spent a first round pick on him, he had a very solid year last season.. give him the ball this year and let him show us what he can do.

Yes, let him prove he cannot do it instead of knowing he cannot do it and putting in another RB who can. That is great logic, why aren't you coaching in the NFL?

I do actually laugh at loud at comments from the peanut gallery like "Felix doesn't want to be great."

You're more of a joke every day big guy.

What do we KNOW that he can not do?

We know that he cannot be an every down back. He performs better when coming off the bench and has greater homerun threat in that role. We need a workhorse to start so Felix can come in and shock teams the way Reggie Bush used to do at USC. Wasting him on 3 and 4 yard runs up the middle is dumb.

We don't KNOW that Felix can't be an every down back. If we knew that we wouldn't have taken him in the first round.

Please.. no more talk of "homerun threats". I had my fill of hearing about that nonsense back during the Julius Jones days.

His career stats mirror what great RBs can do in a season. If Garrett thought he was good enough to touch the ball 20+ times a game he would have been doing that by now. Felix's appeal is in his ability to be a game changer off the bench.

Garrett has been HC for a grand total of half a season. We also have had the man with the huge contract extension on the roster up until next season in MBIII. Believe what you will, but i have no doubt Jerry wouldn't have let him ride the pine while he was making that much of Jerry's money.

Kid is only 24.. i think you'll see him play a much bigger role this year. We don't know if he can do it yet, and this would be a perfect season to find out.

You keep making excuses but the only thing you have here is hope. Felix has NEVER carried a full load and he will not be doing it this season. He is not a feature back.

There's no evidence that he's not a feature back.. as you say all i have is hope, all you have is an assumption that he couldn't do it if given the chance. Until he's given the chance, you can't say that for a fact. I think we'll see it happen this season.

I don't buy the notion that unless a player is given that chance, you don't know if he can do it. Teams make a living determining which players are and aren't worthy of a chance. They don't need to see failure before expecting it.

I agree that Felix is capable of more than what he's shown so far. I don't know how anyone can say differently considering the line play last year.

I concur. This is not a democracy. The fact that the players are on the team IS THEIR CHANCE. There chance to compete.

I'll be very interested to see how it all plays out. Barber's gone. But does Choice follow him out the door? If he sticks around, is he the #2 and we really split up the carries to get Murray involved? Or maybe Murray is the top backup and Choice spends another year buried on the depth chart.

Did the Cowboys take Murray because they have no regard for Choice as a player or did they simply make the pick because their board dictated he was the clear cut guy?

I hate RB by committee. There aren't enough touches in a game to get 3 backs involved. One guy needs at least 20 touches. The other back can be in your 3rd down package and the #3 shouldn't sniff the field unless it's special teams or injury reasons.
