Obama gave an eloquent answer but failed to mention he pays women in his administration thousands less than their male counterparts.

also failed to mention that even women who work in the administration complain about his fairness to women or the fact that they feel "ignored"

Meanwhile, another green energy company(A123) files chapter 11 after Obama bets on them with tax payer money.

I'm sure the next one/s will be totally different than these last 5 or 6 which failed miserably

yeah with all the effort the GOP has made to restrict voting for women, minorities and old people in places like Florida and Virginia noone is really expecting them to go blue.

so far, the only effort to restrict any voting has been done by the O administration when it coems to our military's votes from overseas...wonder why that might be

Did you know that the reason that gas prices were $1.86 a gallon in 2008 was because the economy?

and the reason they are $4.00+ is because things are better now?

lol you've repeatedly exposed yourself as someone with very little actual knowledge of the things you are so passionately arguing about.

This is actually why we still need an electoral college system.

Anyway, gas prices have nothing to do with federal economic or energy policy. That's not going to change no matter how many times you keep repeating it.

Don't insult my intelligence, UVA.

Energy policy that would allow this country to freely take advantage of its OWN supply would go a long way. Cracking down on speculation is another part of it.

And you can shove that link up your ass. It has the letters "NBC" in it. So I know where it's going.

I swear to God. Liberals don't even understand even the most basic things.

It's supply and demand, with some speculation sprinkled in.

-----------

I was reading an article earlier(i think at DCC)that was talking about what Gas prices would be today if the last two administrations didn't keep devaluing the dollar.

Something like $1.30 a gallon.

I would suck 50 dicks for $1.30 gas.

It's not just "energy policies" of the government that can affect gas prices. You could probably come up with a hundred different things that can affect gas prices. You've mentioned the value of the dollar. Our relations with the OPEC countries are an obvious one.

Gas prices are a part of the larger general economic picture. Yet people presume the president can affect the economy. If the president can affect the economy, then he can affect gas prices.

He may not be able to set the prices himself, but anyone pretending they have nothing to do with it is just trying to cover for their boy.

Yeah, the biggest factor by far in gas prices is the dollar. Romney has said he'd fire money-printer Bernanke and hire a much more hawkish Fed chief, someone like Richard Fisher of Dallas. With a stronger dollar, gas prices would plummet.

But on the whole, the gas price argument is very lame and I wish Romney hadn't even gone there, because there are so many factors in play out of the president's control (like the exploding economies in the East). Then again, Obama did it in 2008, so I guess why not.

Once he went there though, Obama buried himself though with the incredibly stupid answer he gave.
