You're the one with the real Christianity. 2,000 years later you've finally sorted out all the pretenders.

Oh, I see what you are saying. I thought I covered that already.
Here's my answer:
I don't claim to know all of the answers. I just think that the modern church has, for the most part, done what most of the world has accused them of. Which is being lazy and not knowing anything about the bible. They follow whatever Joe Preacher says but don't have a lot of depth to their beliefs.
You are claiming that I think that I know better than everyone but we haven't really discussed any specific things other than the rapture. So your stance is already on shaky grounds because you have accused me of doing something but failed to point to anything that I actually said. So far, you have no idea what those things are which I disagree with, so it seems that you are arguing with a whole bunch of nothing because you think that makes you a free thinker.
I'd love to talk about where I think the church has gone wrong but you don't seem interested in having a discussion about it.
OK, so what you are saying is that you don't believe the bible is worth studying. Why didn't you just say that?
What I don't get is why are you even discussing it? It's all crap and built on lies so whats the big deal?
Here's the thing - I believe scripture has eternal value to it. I believe that the bible has transcended time, languages and cultures. With that in mind I believe it can be studied and understood. I have dedicated a great deal of time and energy doing that. I believe in the teachings of Jesus in the bible can be understood pretty clearly without confusion. So there can be error with not following those things.
If you are not down with that then get on with your life and go with it. If you don't want to discuss theology then don't. But don't pretend that you are. And don't pretend that I am clueless.

So that's why I called you out when you start to declare things wrong, as though you reside on a theological high ground. That ground doesn't exist, noone is sitting on it. Your guess is as good as anyone else's from Nicea to today, and just as bad.
Exactly the point of most agnostics. No one knows. It's all a guess. Nothing can be proven one way or the other.
In this entire discussion it has been you that has tried taken the self-righteous high road. Not skid or anyone else.
You have come across as saying that what you say is fact, and that anyone that disagrees with that has to be wrong.
So, don't try this middle ground bullshit now. It flies in the face of what you're trying to preach, homes.
Everything Skidadl has said has been pretty weak. In the end he used his personal experience as some form of proof which was also pretty weak.
Next.
Then argue the other side of it. Otherwise, you are just trolling.
lol after all the cheerleading you and the Jeebus Bunch have been doing in this thread you're gonna toss this out here?

Real Christianity is unfortunately mistaken for American Christianity. For good reason since the American church has basically bastardized the teachings of Jesus. It's no surprise that everyone is confused because they are going off the example placed before them rather than the truth.
The thing that gets me time and again about this debate is that the discussion gravitates towards the hot-button issues rather than any theology. That is unfortunate...lots of people would be less confused if so-called believers actually practiced the teachings of Jesus. The water would be less muddy and then folks could reject everything based on real Christianity rather than the made up version if that's what they chose.
The crazy thing is how much real Christians talk shit on other Christians, who in turn talk shit on the real Christians.
The only real Christians are Catholics. They invented this shit. Everyone else needs to get over it.
I have stated my opinion on religion and bible stuff. Not trolling.
Climb back up on your horse. It's looking a bit lonely.
That has jack nor shit to do with:

Which is what I was replying to.
That has literally everything to do with it. It is a direct rebuttal of skidadl's "real christians" notion. Which was my only issue, which got clouded because noone reads or absorbs anything. Must be all the Holy spirit.
