Uh, I'm no legal expert like Roy over there, but I'm pretty sure no court can prevent a sports league from folding up shop.

You're right.. you arn't a legal expert.. or an expert on anything. The NFL floating around the option of just shutting down business is not legitimate.

Everybody love Tony Romo?

Why?

Because he plays for the Cowboys. If he played for Denver, you wouldn't care about him. While the Denver fans who don't care about him now would all love him as a Bronco.

You root for teams. You just think you root for players.

None of us have favorite players or players we like to watch from other teams huh?

lol

Not as much as we like to watch our own players on our own team.

I'm sorry you're pissed that I don't show any respect for your opinion. I would if I found it even mildly not retarded. But to say fans root for players over teams is beyond a debate. It's a point and laugh. And thank God you weren't born that way.

And you are?

The dipshat who learned us that the owners underhandedly broke the CBA contract is a legal expert? lol

Yawn..

Never said that they broke contract or did anything illegal by opting out. You won't find anywhere that i did say that..and since everyone, including yourself, knows this.. we can move on.

So you're saying people still do have players on other teams that we like and enjoy watching? Hmm..

Sure. But that's not why they're a diehard NFL fan. That's not why they passionately support the league. And I don't think the vast majority of NFL fans root for players not on their team. Unless you're talking about a fantasy football situation.

I admire Chris Johnson. I don't root for him.

You're a damn liar then.

You came in here in your DCU infancy and asked us why we would support the owners when they didn't honor the contract.

Except they did, dumbass, and you just didn't know it.

The average player supporter in this shares your intelligence. They'd have to to be so wrong in this situation.

Yawnnnnn.. my statement was they agreed to a deal, then they backed out of it. Didn't say there was anything illegal about it.

The illegal part, comes with the television deal they struck.. so yes they still did something illegal.

Well i don't know how you feel.. but i definitely have players on other teams that i really like. I have jerseys from guys on other teams that i like. Every fan has their favorite team.. but when that team isn't on tv, most will watch other games, and generally.. they'll watch whichever game has the most players that they like.

We watch the NFL because it has the most talented players in the world.. plain and simple. Its why its 100 times more popular than the AFL, UFL, EFL, or any other FL in the entire world. Saying that we don't watch for the players is just idiocy at its finest.

They didn't back out of it. When you make a deal with an opt out clause and you choose to exercise that clause, you did not back out of the deal. You chose an option within the deal. You honored that contract.

You are right, no one outside of Indy fans likes Manning and no one outside of Steelers fans like Troy Polawhosits

What actually happened? They agreed to a deal.. then they chose to exercise their opt out clause.. so they backed out of it.

Call it what you want, im not trying to get all technical about it. They agreed to a deal, then they "opted out" or "backed out", whatever you'd like to refer to it as.

Point is, they never had any intention of playing out the deal that they agreed to. They also set up an illegal business deal in anticipation of a lockout.

Yet they want to try to convince the public that the players side isn't operating "in good faith"?? Get real..

How I feel is you're a stone cold ******. That's the general theme of my emotions.

Yes, I have all kinds of other teams' jerseys here. I'd venture to guess most NFL fans litter their closets with other teams' colors.

I don't know why anyone would think an NFL fan roots for a team first and foremost.

We watch the NFL because that's where the Dallas Cowboys play the Washington Redskins. Where the Green Bay Packers face the Chicago Bears.

If this current group of NFL players started a new league tomorrow, nobody would care about the epic Tigers/Tornadoes divisional clash.

I enjoy watching Manning play. But I am not a passionate Peyton Manning fan. And nobody who isn't a Colts fan is.

I certainly don't follow the league for Peyton Manning.

I can't decide if I'm gonna wear my throwback Packers' jersey this weekend or my new kick ass Chargers' powder blue.

Either way, the best players in the world play for the Dallas Cowboys. That's why we care.

We cheer for cities in the NFL, not teams. When the Oilers moved to Tennessee they may have gotten some hold over fans, but most fans have or will switch to the new team that represents the city. If for some stupid reason the Cowboys move to Los Angeles they would lose tons of fans because they support the city, not the team.

Its cute how you think your opinions affect anyone.

If this current group of NFL players started a new league tomorrow, nobody would care about the epic Tigers/Tornadoes divisional clash.

If NFL players played in the UFL and all the UFL players came and played for NFL teams.. we would most certainly not care as much about the NFL and alot more people would watch the UFL.

If Portland gets a franchise and I can take my family for a fair price I will be caring about the Tornadoes and will follow the NFL with the current disinterest I give the MLB
