Actually the guy I've heard that they have an interest in, in the later rounds is Jeff Driskel from La Tech. Well according to Brian Brodus he also looked pretty good at practice yesterday.

Most of the stuff I read said Driskell was pretty bad yesterday

I read he really struggled throwing the ball downfield yesterday.

I actually like him too, but not as the QB of the future. I think his ceiling might be as a backup only due to lack of arm strength.

It's not arm strength so much as it is a Tebow-like hitch that lets DB's get a great jump on the ball.

I'm good with adding him, dont know if KC lets him leave though

A Berry/Jones duo at safety would be very promising for sure.

The Cowboys haven't reached the Super Bowl in 20 years. Why is Jerry Jones confident they can get back?
4:58 PM - 27 Jan 2016

"Well, I saw how we got there for the first three that I was involved with," Jones said Wednesday afternoon while attending Senior Bowl practice. "I'm the most surprised person in Mobile, or the country, that we haven't been back to and competed in a Super Bowl.

"But I know firsthand that you can go from the outhouse to the penthouse, and I've experienced it. Consequently, that fact has always driven me to know that it's just around the corner. There's a pony in here somewhere."

He also said we dont need to draft a QB this year

I don't expect that, but it wouldn't shock me, either. Somehow I can see Hogan... I bet they'd love the intelligence angle.

And really, he does seem to me like a good, smart backup type. Not sure what his upside is.

Well, Jerry said today that they didn't have to draft a QB this year, so...

Jerry obviously found the liquor store

He said that since we have the luxury of having Romo for 3,4, or 5 more years and since there are opportunities in FA we don't have take one at #4 or at all in this draft.

Yeah I read the comments.

Hopefully like the Manziel garbage from two yrs ago, the rest of the organization ignores his ideas

Braxton Miller and Carson Wentz seem like the overall winners at the Senior Bowl so far. Praise of those two has been universal.

Sure hope we get Miller.

I'm bullish on Wentz and have been the entire time. My problem is the dunderhead in charge in Dallas - I simply do not trust this organization to do what is the blatantly obvious and mandatory move, and use that 4th pick to take Wentz or some other likely future franchise QB. And even trade UP to get him, if it looks like someone else wants him.

They won't trade up and I believe they're not even all that concerned about the QB position in Dallas. They think they have it covered with Tony, Moore and either RG3 or Johnny Boozeball.

In all fairness I've also heard Jerry say that at this time of year you will always know when he's lying, when his lips are moving.

And with the way parity is in the NFL any team can make a quick turn around, look at the Panthers as an example.

If Tennessee wants to really unload the 1st pick for a bargain and the Cowboys are SOLD 100% on one of these QB's as being a franchise QB (regardless of which one) then by all means, they should make the move.

I just have no faith Romo goes 16 games, or even a majority of the season anymore. RGPee and Johnny Knucklehead do nothing to enhance our playoff chances if Romo goes down.

Agreed on all counts. Now please, convince the Drunk in Chief, jerruh.
