I'm disappointed but mainly because they fooled me and I was thinking of the post I was going to make when I got home praising Garrett. Never again will I let this dolt fool me. Once again he fucked up the end of the half with multiple TO's in his pocket. And why does it seem like teams always make half time adjustments and we just can't?

Doesn't matter if other teams make adjustments, so long as Cowboys' players execute... that's Garrett's mentality. So when a team makes adjustments and shuts the Cowboys down, Garrett can always claim it's the lack of execution on the part of the players, and he's free and clear.

Jeremy Mincey suffered concussion during pregame warm-ups in Philadelphia

ARLINGTON -- Cowboys defensive end Jeremy Mincey was inactive for Sunday's game because of a concussion he suffered the previous weekend in Philadelphia.

Mincey said he suffered the injury during a helmet-to-helmet hit with Tyron Smith during pregame warm-ups.

"I think it was during the warmups [before] the Philly game," Mincey explained. "I just toughed it out. I figured out a way to tough it out. I wish I had been a lot smarter. Trying to just get through it, not knowing what was going on. I'm here now, so hopefully get past the protocol and get this thing rolling."

Mincey, who played the entire game against the Eagles, practiced Wednesday, was limited Thursday and was held out Friday.
The Cowboys certainly could have used their sack-leader from a year ago against the Falcons. Dallas' front four did not record a sack or a quarterback hit on Sunday.

"It was definitely tough watching," Mincey said. "Got to get back in the film room and see what we did wrong so we can correct those mistakes."

Mincey said he should be clear to return to practice this week.

Stafford sucks.

That Denver pass rush is monstrous. Glad to see Ware have a resurgence. I'd root for Denver in the AFC but Peyton is toast.

Bless these guys....Garrett has them believing that if they look at the film they can improve. Of course film study is important but no amount of study is going to make Church or Wilcox better in coverage or Hayden a beast on the DL. These guys are what they are.

We are just so short handed at the HC position. Just sad. It's bad enough we're shorthanded on the field but damn......

We have a QB that would not be on any roster in the league. And a HC that would not be a coach on any other team.

How can we lose?

I have got to say....

I totally expected to be hating on Weeden for a poor performance and a loss after the game. I expected him to screw the pooch and effectively send his career up in flames finally

But he didn't

Thru the first half he impressed me until the bad decision that cost him the INT

So I see him starting the next game at the very least. I'm sure in the coaches eyes he proved himself. I don't see Cassel coming in unless Weeden throws 3 INT in a game. I don't see the front office blaming Weeden for the second half

I however blame the second half totally on the coaches and not on Weeden.

Is he going to save the day? No! But he "should" do well enough to not screw us for the season.

It's up to the coaches at this point. They either get out of their own way and let Weeden run the full offense with out trying to baby him along or we go up in flames with this ticky tack offense they tried to field in the second half

Only a troll would want Weeden to continue as the QB. He's either afraid to throw downfield or the coaching staff doesn't trust him enough to do so, doesn't really matter because it adds up to the same thing. Teams already will stack the box more against our anemic run game, because they know that Weeden will not make them pay by throwing it over the top.

The result: more 3 and outs, and our defense on the field longer, and more losses. So get out of here with that bullshit.

Weeden should not be on any NFL roster.

If they are dumbing down the offense for Weeden who has been in this offense as long as he has what do you think they would do for Cassel who has only been in this system for what is it now? 5 days?

He will have 12 days in the offense if he started next Sunday. That's why I said they would probably give Weeden the start against the Saints to give Cassel another week to learn the offense

Actually he's been in it longer. He was in it under Norv when he was with the Vikings.

Really? That's what you've been relegated to appreciating and accepting at the QB position? If the coaches think Weeden did a good job, then it only affirms my opinion on the HC.

They are dumbing it down solely due to Weeden's lack of ability. Cassel can at least make some plays happen. Before yesterday, I would have been fine having Weeden with a lead, but it's clear now that he can't even be trusted when we're ahead in games. He's totally fucked if we fall behind again.

You can bring in any vet to run that vanilla offense from yesterday. I'd start Cassel now. If he fails, then it's just not meant to be. Weeden is expected to fail and he has years of evidence to show he's good at it.

I'm not saying I want Weeden as our QB moving forward. What I'm saying is that I believe he did a good enough job in the first half in the coaches eyes that they will give him another start

I don't know why Jason and Jerry are so hung up on Weeden but I believe he will start again next week because they believe he can do a good enough job till Romo gets back to keep us at .500

Hopefully they will put Cassel in if Weeden falters even a little bit. But I think it's going to take 3 INT in the next game for the coaches to finally give up on him.

At least this should make it clear that we need to seriously look for Romo's replacement. We have gone to long holding on to our lucky rabbits foot in hopes that Romo stays healthy. He's not going to be around for much longer. We need to get his replacement in the system and get him ready to go like they did with Rogers behind Farve. That is the ideal plan moving forward. Hopefully this Weeden situation brings that point home enough for the front office to finally do something about it

I don't think Weeden did anything to prove he's competent or even average for a backup during that first half. It was pure domination by our o line and great running. Our D also played well for like 2 milliseconds. Our coach is obviously a moron for going away from the run with an 11 point lead, but Weeden certainly didn't do us any favors. It's a plus that he didn't fumble snaps or totally screw up, but it sure didn't feel like we could go .500 with him.
