Does anyone else see the parallel between Philadelphia's actions this year, and the year they mortgaged their entire future assembling the "dream team?"
No, because this is a different coach and a different GM.

I may be the only one, but I think Kelly has done enough good things in his career that I don't totally discount what he's doing. The Murray contract is actually the one thing that makes me think he's crazy, but even then I wouldn't be so sure. The guy is really smart -- Belichick used to go to Oregon to watch his practices and pick his brain. (Doesn't Bill know college basketball coaches are the real source of football knowledge?)

Load up on FA talent, pay through the nose for it, sure sounds like the same formula to me.

Of course it is a different coach and GM. They got fired over the colossal failure their "dream team" was. But it's still the same owner, which makes be believe it is quite possible he was calling the shots then, and now.

Chip Kelly said as much, in his now infamous presser the other day.

He said the owner was calling all the shots?
Yes, when they were asking about the alleged problems between him and the GM, he said something like "All decisions are made by Mr. Lurie."

Then repeated that, throughout the rest of the presser.
