seems like this draft is rife with great athletes and combine stars but not necessarily great football players

Idk if that true. Just because a guy rises late doesn't mean his tape wasnt good. Remember for a lot of this were relying on a couple guys to give us the names to look out for.

It can be hard for a linemen to get noticed during the season and this draft is loaded with good linemen. It's one of the weakest skill position drafts in recent memory though.

Maybe no 1st round rb's
maybe one 1st round qb
maybe 2 1st round wr's

Have I said he's a mental midget, or have I said he's a mental midget...

@evansilva
#Tennessee WR Cordarrelle Patterson has been "very unimpressive" in team interviews at the Combine, per @RussLande:

There's really no "warts" to Justin Hunter. You could just tell he was fresh of an ACL injury this year. That, and on a poorly coached team.

But the guy is long, lean, fast, great at high pointing the ball, acrobatic, etc. He's going to be a stud.

Patterson is great with the ball in his hands. Elite even. But he's a knucklehead, showboats, and is a mental midget.

Scout on Cordarrelle Patterson: "I'm just not sure how smart he is. You're going to have to keep it simple for him

@Gilbrandt69 I left Damontre Moore off my mock draft, which many of you questioned. He didn't have very good workout at combine, or interview well.

Terron Armstead - T - Player
According to NFL Draft insider Tony Pauline, "most all teams" are projecting Arkansas-Pine Bluff OL Terron Armstead as a left tackle.
Some teams assumed Armstead would wind up at guard, but he's demonstrated incredible athleticism throughout the draft process and also has quality game tape. Per NFL.com's Gil Brandt, Armstead "looked outstanding" at his Monday Pro Day and has scheduled a private workout with the Cowboys. The Jaguars, who are switching to a zone-blocking scheme, are also giving Armstead a long look.

I like Armstead, he's one of my pet cats. I just don't want to move Tyron Smith back over to RT. I like him better as an LT.

I dont think there's anyone we could draft or sign that would cause us to move Tyron Smith back to RT, especially a guy from a small school like Armstead

Nothern Iowa WR reportedly runs a 4.19

Northern Iowa receiver Terrell Sinkfield just wanted to run fast when he showed up at the University of Minnesota Pro Day on Monday.

Sinkfield, a former sprinter from the Minneapolis area, ran so fast that he now has turned the heads of NFL scouts and general managers, clocking in at 4.19 in the 40-yard dash in one of his runs. That unofficial time is five-hundredths of a second faster than Chris Johnson's official record at the NFL Combine of 4.24 set in 2008.

Sinkfield was also timed at 4.27 and still had a 4.41-second time in a run where he stumbled, according to FoxSportsNorth.

Asked how he ran so fast, Sinkfield said, "Just some determination. That was the expectation, really. Aim big. I was trying to get that 4.1."

I'm sure Armstead would do fine with the Cowboys at RT. It'd be a great draft if we ended up with both him and Cooper/Warmack. A pipe dream actually.

Cooper and Armstead, teamed with Tyron Smith, would give us 3 athletic freaks on the O Line.

even with those 3, Livings and Bernadeau(or Costa) would bring down the overall average.

but seriously, book ends of Smith and Armstead would do a lot to battle the speed/athleticism of the modern day pass rusher.
