McCarthy could have replaced Moore but chose not to, it's well documented. McCarthy was actually complimentary of Moore even before he took the job here.
I am not sure it matters anymore who Prescott's OC is. He has so much liberty to change plays that its hard for me to legitimately point the finger too much at Moore. Moore's worst trait to me right now he calls too many little cutesy trick plays, even when we might be bashing the team with traditional play calls.
When we run the ball well Prescott normally looks like a different QB. We haven't run it well in over a month and that's why he looks so bad now.
I'm saying he should have never got the job and in Daks second year, they should have brought in the best QB coach and OC on the planet to get the most out of him.
I cant remember, who was OC in his 2nd year?
Bottom line, is its irrelevant what McCarthy may have wanted (or wants) because he or any other coach only gets what jeri allows and jeri will never hire a coach that would have leverage (and no coach who wanted that leverage would take the job) so we'll always end up with hamstrung coaches just thrilled to be the coach of the Cowboys but have no chance of success due to the jeri & spawn dictatorship where his offspring act like minders from 3rd world dictatorships hovering over staff and watching their every move
the organization is a joke and always will be as long as jeri and spawn own the team
and just because they print money off the sweet stupid teat that is Cowboy nation who abides in spite of jeri, not because of him, doesnt mean the organization is run well because they'd be even more valuable and make even more money if they could win Super Bowls. Like the Geico commercial says, even a caveman could do it with the dumbass Cowboy fans who continually support financially and with eyes and ears. Buying PSLs was the death blow to any fan leverage in our lifetime
