August, 5, 2011 Aug 512:38PM CTEmail Print Comments By Calvin WatkinsSAN ANTONIO -- Cowboys starting right guard Montrae Holland left the walkthrough practice with a stiff back Friday morning. Holland walked slowly through the tunnel at the Alamodome to the locker room area during the middle of practice.

His status for the afternoon session is uncertain. Holland left practice on Wednesday during field goal drills with a minor knee injury but returned.

First, What's up Rev?

Second, I'll love it if his often injured ass forces Jerry into going in another direction. I'd almost rather have one of the rookies start day one instead of settling on this bum.

Not much. Just recently caught wind about this site....

They will more than likely just re-sign Davis. I would rather have Waters but I guess I will have to live what I think they are going to do.

Continuity!!

Welcome, and yeah, I'd rather have Waters as well. That said, bringing back Davis would still be a huge upgrade over Holland or having to start Arkin two years too early.

This fucking shit wouldn't be an issue if they drafted Rackley. But for some reason, somebody---and we all pretty much know who, rated Murray higher than Rackley, and foolishly thought that Rackley would actually be there in the 4th. I believe that Rackley is a day 1 starter. They could have started him at LG, and move Kosier over to RG, that way we wouldn'u-=t have two rookies on the same side. And Murray would more than likely been there for our 4th pick. Truth be told, we didn't really need to draft an RB. Nah...but the Crypt Keeper-looking shithead had to gamble.

I would love to see the Cowboys' draft board.

Don't forget Leonard Davis. I hear he's leaning toward taking a pay cut and returning to Cowboys. He knows he can beat our Holland. #Cowboys

Nice call.

I guess it'd be better than having no RG at all.

While it is true a good QB can cover for a poor line, the bigger issues, for quite some time, has been the run blocking. This has been a terrible run blocking team for awhile. Waters can help that...and Davis actually played well down the stretch.

I hope we get a chance to see how good Garrett's offense can be with some run blocking.

I think he is leaning towards guys who can move and can get out on screens, Free and Smith fit that mold. That may be why Davis does not come back, but then I don't remember Holland ever being a mobile guy.

From my seat here in the AlamoDome press box, I can see David Arkin running with the 1st team at ROG. I think they will let ride

throw in Phil Costa at Center and Romo might as well go break his own collarbone.

I wanted Davis gone just as much as the next Cowboy's fan, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to bring him back in. I just hope Arkin can learn the position and take over in 2012.

Btw, welcome to DCU, Rev. Nice to see you again.
