Holland is nicked up again. He can't stay healthy, and he's a blob. He's not that talented to begin with.

Arkin isn't an option, because we can't afford to have two rookies on the right side of our line.

Outside of Davis - who Watkins is reporting is open to coming back - who is out there?

This is a gaping hole.

It HAS to be addressed. But with who?

Davis probably.

Would make sense in a few weeks.

I dont discount them holding out and seeing what becomes available when preseason cuts start coming....that is very risky though.

Proctor / McQuistan

There still floating around. Wouldn't surprise me if one of the two isn't on Jerry's radar.

As my besty used to say... DIAF

That was tongue and cheek..........but sadly may be true.

On a serious note what about Brian Waters. Class act with a solid bckground. He was released last week by KC. Not sure if they have plans to bring him back at a cheaper rate but the guy is rock solid. He is getting up there in age but IMO wouldn't be bad for a 1-2 year deal. Looking over his track record forgot Dallas actually signed the guy as a FA in 99'. Wonder what schmuck we kept to let this guy walk.

He was in our camp as a fb/tight end though...not a lineman.

QB is way more important than OL. The league's best QBs make their OL look way better than it really is.

Even before Romo went down, our line was a pile of shit.

You can't replace 80% of the line in one year, but I expected at least 2 upgrades. We may have gotten one in Tyron Smith.

I didn't think it would be possible to get worse at RG, but it's looking like our front office found a way to accomplish that.

I agree, our offensive line was shit last season. They just weren't at fault for the Romo injury.

It boggles my mind as well that Jerry & Co think that they can roll into the season with Holland starting at RG. They guy is a JAG, and has injury and weight issues. I'd love to bring in Waters, or even Davis. I'm not holding my breath though. I would not be surprised to see David Arkin starting at RG against the Jets.

You're right, Romo was done in by Gronk.

As far as RG goes, Jerry is just dumb F enough to roll the dice with Holland.

He has a history of over rating players that have stars on their helmets. He sees Larry Allen playing RG.

Hopefully Kosier can stay healthy.

I mean early in the season we were trotting out a line with Barron and Holland on it at the same time. If Smith can do work from day 1, I think we have 4 solid starters, with Gurode and Free being above average for their positions. we can hide a Holland in that situation if we have to. Or maybe one of the billion project offensive linemen we have on the roster will step up. Or we sign someone.

Holy Christ, If kosier goes down again, we are fucked in the most royal sense.

I think part of the reason our line played like shit was because we rarely practiced in pads.

Offensive lineman thrive on being physical. You can't practice soft and then expect to play hard on Sundays.

You play the way you practice.

I think we'll see improvement under Garrett.
