I mean one fact we know is that Zimmerman for sure killed this kid.
I hope that if I were ever in a situation where I'm actively rooting for a guy who shot a 17 year old I am intelligent enough to be introspective enough to figure out WHY I'm that emotionally invested in it.

This case isn't what it was initially portrayed as.
You want to make a case that Zimmermann was in the wrong for following Martin, okay. But the death of Travyon resulted in Zimmerman defending himself.

because if it was just about justice there wouldnt be any need for all this character defamation on a dead 17 year old. when i was 14 we had a "gang" fight in an apple orchard because some rival kids tore down our tree house. can Zimmerman shoot me, too

Surely no way zimm didn't grab at Martin to keep him from running .
He had a reason to shoot him. He was defending himself.
At the time Martin was shot, he was on top of Zimmerman having broke his nose already and was pounding his head into the concrete.
I'm of the belief Zimmerman was defending himself.
I'll let the jury decide what he should get.

Good thing for the prosecution that they don't have to prove that then.
Agreed. Because with the witnesses they've presented thus far, I don't think they're going to be able to prove that they even deserve to have this case tried.

I don't see how you don't acknowledge that is a completely self-serving sentiment for Zimmerman to have. Martin was defending himself too. If Martin had been the one who had survived and he had killed Zimmerman, you wouldn't be of the same opinion.

The state doesn't have to prove that either.
I dont' think being followed warrants a vicious physical attack. And I've outlined why I don't think Martin was truly trying to get away. He could've easily if that was his intention.
So I disagree that Martin was defending himself.
If Martin had been the one to survice, we never would know about this case becuase it would never have been politicized.

I think reasonable people can see why Trayvon would have been fearful.
Oh, right, he was just skipping away to hide so he could sneak up on Zimmerman later.

Hell, he was on the phone with jabba the hut and by her words she asked where he was at one point, and he said he was right by where he was staying, but he didn't go inside. Why not?
Would've made the news, as all homicides do. Wouldln't have been sensationalized/politicized. Obama wouldn't be saying "If I had a son, he would look like George Zimmerman."
