Bad plays happen.

What if you trade him and u have 3 one's next year and Minnesota or kc tell u know thanks and take luck.

Then what? All the people who hate romo and Jerry just sit back and watch romo play great somewhere else??

That would be awesome, romo in Washington winning while we get Landry jones or griffin...

Gee where can I sign up for this ?

We are 2-2. Long way to go..

I think you are misunderstanding me a bit Theebs.

I'm not saying the season is over, or that we have no chance to compete this year. There's also little to no chance I'd trade him within the divison to Washington, I seriously doubt Garrett and Jones would even consider it.

And if they did make a deal for him and couldnt get Luck, there are other options. Notably the best scenario for us would be to find out McGee can take over, then we're left with a plethora of high picks to further stock the team.

Again they have to at least wonder "is this as good as it gets" with him. If the answer is yes, then it seems obvious what they need to consider. If Garrett firmly believes he can fix him, then they dont move him.

I may end up being the last guy off the Romo bandwagon but more and more I'm thinking the next Cowboy QB to lead us to the Superbowl will not be him. Come on down Robert Griffin III...wait, he choked in the clutch too? No way we suck enough for Luck so I think we are stuck with Romo for the next 3 years.

My problems with this team is the General Manager's inability to judge the overall talent of our roster from year to year. We all knew we needed a 3rd WR and we end up not finding one til we sign one off the street after the pre-season. Same deal with Dockery and the left guard situation. The safeties have been an issue for a few years running.

Garrett, who seems to be a pretty decent Head Coach, is still not winning me over with his playcalling. We need an offensive coordinator to help Garrett out. Hopefully someone who believes in the running game.

Dexter premiere is on in 30 minutes and hopefully that will take my mind off today's debacle.

Romo is a Cowboy for life. Jerry has to give him a new contract next year so he will fit into the salary cap.

Let's see who stays on his badwagon longer. You or me.

.

I dont think he doesnt. He is a really smart guy, he doesnt run more because we arnt very good at it. And when your best players on offense are the QB, WR's & TE's, it makes no sense to do the other team a favor and not use them.

He was here when Emmitt was in his prime, he obviously knows the benefits of a strong running game.

I cannot imagine many teams willing to trade for an undependable QB like Romo.

As much as we would all like to pretend we have some sort of great prize at QB, there is not a team willing to give up what I think it would take to impress Jerry Jones. He has made it very very clear how valuable he believes this player is.

To me, it is far from "unthinkable". I would have been willing to do it several years ago.

But the matter is moot. Jerry Jones would never do it so it is pointless to even discuss.

and why aren't we better at it? It was an obvious weakness last year. We replaced crap offensive linemen
with younger crap linemen. We need a guard, a center, and a powerback. We drafted a broken linebacker and a Felix Jones Light.

I know you love the man but Jerry has to do a better job of addressing needs/weaknesses. Or get the hell out of the way and find a General Manager who will.

Demarcus ware didn't have a sack today, just think if we paired romo and ware for a trade..

We could draft a qb and and a pass rusher who gets sacks in the fourth qtr because our guys suck for sure...

Tis thread is irritating me even more after rereading it.

Cant fix everything in one year. Your opinion is that none of the OL are apparently any good, but it takes more than 4 games to know whether thats true or not.

They did address the OL, quite a bit this offseason. And maybe Nagy is just a stop gap guy until someone with more talent is ready (Arkin for instance). Maybe Costa is just manning the C spot until they fill comfortable with Kowalski starting, who has been impressive.

Yet the Bears gave up a ton for Jay Cutler. The Redskins traded for McFlabb. Didnt the Chiefs give up quite a bit for Matt Cassel?

If the Cowboys made Romo available, I have no doubt at all that we could get a pretty significant package for him.
