Disappointed and then again not so disappointed. I knew you'd post and didn't think you'd offer anything of substance. I was correct.

Thinking you are correct and actually being correct are two different concepts.
One involves individual thought patterns(delusion) and the other one involves uncontested reality.

I will tell you what is predicable. It is your sanctimonious crap. Most of us understand the difference between right and wrong and don't require the help of the Attorney General to do so. Your smartest man in the room garbage is getting old. New Jersey has enough problems without pissing money away regulating what is said during a high school sporting event.

I played high school sports in NJ for four years. Even the most disciplined player will get chippy from time to time. Didn't you ever get out of the house as a kid? It is the nature of physical competition. There is going to be a little bit of jawing here and there. Good grief, how did you survive your childhood without the nanny state?

NJIAA

Kids get booted all the time for unsportsmanlike conduct and they should. This isn't a state law this is a policy of the State association for high school athletics, if an act breaks a law they will be forwarded if they don't they won't. It isn't hard. This isn't a vast government experience or a huge waste if governmental resources.

Who the fuck cares either way?

Is there anything being lost by high school kids not talking shit to one another?

Is there anything gained by allowing it?

Anyone who's that interested in this on either side of the fence should probably just get a fucking hobby.

According to the Post-Courier, "under NJSIAA sportsmanship rules, any student-athlete or coach who is cited before, during or after an interscholastic event for unsportsmanlike and flagrant verbal or physical misconduct will be disqualified from participating in the next two regularly scheduled events, or in the case of football, disqualified from the next game."
This is the case in PA already, except for it's one game for any sport. It's up to individual schools if the punishment is longer. Students and or coaches who make harassing statements related to gender, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation or religion are the ones who could be in trouble based on State Law.

Also officials in PA must already report to their state association when ejecting anyone for unsportsmanlike conduct.

I care. For a number of reasons. I don't like seeing a precedent set for language control, indoctrinating another generation with it and frankly like I'd said earlier: our legal system can't clean up fucking shit bag cities that are horror shows to enter and we have the Attorney Generals office wasting time on this kind of crap? The AG should step foot in Camden and see what lack of civility really looks like. He'll tell anyone crying over shit talk to shut the fuck up as a result.

And I have plenty of hobbies. ;)

you stand there and say point blank "i don't see this need" so this "need" has no value.

that is the mindset i will spend my own lifetime to fight.

i'm ok with someone disagreeing. i learn by differences. i grow by finding common ground.

you? you're just some asshole who wants how you feel to be right and those who disagree, we'll they're the unwashed.

fuck you.

It's really sad that this day and age in America some men appoint themselves the arbiters other man's needs.
That train of thought has direct links to the Marxist mindset and it is rooted solely on envy.
This ruling was ushered in by the same crowd that decided giving everyone a trophy and not keeping score in games was a good idea, because after all, competition is "bad".

No to everything you said, just no. It makes no sense and couldn't be further from the truth. Thanks for playing though.

You really need to think outside your political ideology everything doesn't fit into a neat little fascist box.

Competition is what high school athletics is all about, trash talking doesn't need to be a part of it. The NJIAA instituted this policy. Most states already have something similar for taunting, trash talk and otherwise unsportsmanlike conduct in high school athletics. This isn't big brother, this isn't government interference, this isn't necessarily going to cost you Joe Citizen anything; the NJIAA and their member schools saw a need for the policy so they instituted it. The schools had representation in developing the policy, and had a vote to enact the policy. You guys are making this out to be something egregious when actually it is something to help protect the integrity of high school sports. We aren't talking about adults, we are talking about children playing a game.

I remember playing tee ball when I was 6 or 7 and getting a trophy at the end of the year - along with every other kid. I remember thinking along the lines of "If everyone get's the same trophy no matter how they played or what the team did, what's the point? This is worthless."

This post reveals what 99% here think.
You are naive.
For starters, there is an agenda on everything including education and athletics for children and young adults.
Go play blind man and walk the earth if you so desire, because you just show us that you are unable to connect the dots.
More laws, more policies, laws, policies.Until when?..at what point will you realize that one day there will be a law that dictates which hand you must use to hold your dick while you pee?...oh wait, you probably pee sitting down, never mind.

So,as Ice said,Fuck You.
