Why does everyone oppose Gaetz?

Because he has huge cajones and is willing to say the things no one else has the courage to say. He also started the movement to replace the Republican speaker of the house which cause some major rifts and despite the attempt we still wound up with another RINO as speaker. I thought his actions were poorly planned, poorly executed, and the result was potentially worse than what we have before.

Personally, I would rather see someone like Mike Davis or Matt Whitaker in the job. Gaetz also has this ethics complaint that could turn out to be embarrassing for him and Trump. I am passing no judgement until I see the report, but if it is true he had sex with a 17 year old, it puts Republicans in an awkward position. How do we support Gaetz after all the outrage we expressed over pedophiles and groomers in government? Of course we are a long way from that, but there are allegations. Even if the House report does not come out because Gaetz resigned from congress, I am pretty sure Democrats will figure out a way to leak it when confirmation hearings begin.

Democrats are better at whipping their own members into order. Republicans are notoriously divided. You know Murkowski, who magically survived her last election, and Susan Collins are going to be a problem for Republicans. I don't think either is worried about being primaries. Murkowski will hide behind ranked choice voting again, and Collins is probably on her last leg anyway.

The complaint is a smear campaign. The DOJ looked into Gaetz and this complaint and chose not to charge him. The reason? They found the two female witnesses not credible. One claims she witnessed Gaetz having sex with a 17 year old. Witnessed? How odd. How did she "witness" him having sex with a 17 year old?

It sounds to me like this is another frame up by the same Democrat creeps that tried to frame Brett Kavanaugh.

If the DOJ under Garland didn't think there was a case then you have to believe there is no case against Gaetz.

What's going on in PA is just outright law breaking. PA commissioners are simply ignoring a PA Supreme Court order. It is amazing that they are still in their jobs. Clearly, the governor is in on this illegal activity.

The Good news is the Republican party has filed 4 lawsuits already. We'll see if the PA courts have the courage to do what is necessary, which is to have the PA commissioners arrested.
