I think she is eventually going to dismiss this case. She just doesn't see the need to do it right now.

She knows the argument about the legality of Jack Smith's appointment will go to the Supreme Court eventually, and if the Supreme Court finds against the DOJ, the case dismisses itself because the ruling would mean Jack Smith never had the authority to investigate or charge Trump. But even if the Supreme Court does find Smith's appointment was legal, and I think there is a good change they will, she can still dismiss the charges on the grounds of selective prosecution - which she seemed inclined to do at one point.

For those interested in the argument about Jack Smith being legally appointed or not it is an interesting argument. The Special Counsel law expired so there is no longer any law that transfers the power of appointment of special counsels from congress and the president to the attorney general. - or anyone else.

The implication is by the appointments clause of the constitution, Officers of the US government must be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate. Jack Smith was appointed only by the AG and without the consent of the Senate.

However, the question is, if Jack Smith an officer, or an inferior officer? Inferior officers do not require appointment by the president or the consent of the Senate. Heads of Departments can make these appointments. So the question is, is Jack Smith an officer or an inferior officer? This is the question the courts will have to answer.

I could argue both sides, but I think it boils down to who controls Jack Smith? If he is truly independent and acts on his own without the oversight of the AG, then he can only be an officer. If he is under the direction and control of the AG then he must be an inferior officer. It is going to be hard for the AG to admit he controls Jack Smith like any other prosecutor working for the DOJ. That would make Smith anything but independent. On the other hand, if the AG says Smith is completely independent then he loses this case in court.

The way Democrats lie so brazenly, and the media laps it all up really angers me in a way few things can.

me too, I can only digest their nonsense pieces at a time after a good work out or nights sleep because I need to be calm and under no stress otherwise the rage that rises up inside of me can distract me for hours...I'm somewhat regretting following this political nonsense because of how disheartening it is to see so many people in this country not only vote for these people but actually believe and parrot their nonsense .

I guess thats why we have lunatics in office in so many places because rational human beings decide to spend their time elsewhere thereby abdicating power to the unstable and unscrupulous...its got me thinking hard about if I am willing to get involved, how could I do so effectively beyond my vote or whether that effort would be futile

Interestingly last night I watched a few videos of Charlie Kirk speaking to students at college campuses and the things that came out of their mouths was shocking. These kids are brainwashed. Completely lost.

They live amongst us........and there is nothing they won't do to achieve their goals....they're radicals.

Kirk is impressive, I dont know how he has the heart and energy to keep banging his head against the wall but I'm glad he's out there

Democrats are already using the Hunter conviction to claim it proves there is no double standard in the justice system, but this is total nonsense. Hunter was indicted on specific charges which he was given before he went to trial. His indictment was a clear enumeration of the laws he violated. Trump indictment on misdemeanors that were elevated to felonies by claiming an underlying crime in order to circumvent the statute of limitations was clearly political and a violation of Trump's constitutional right to be informed of his crimes in the indictment. Trump's prosecutors deliberately hid his underlying crime until closing arguments in his trial, when the judge made the defense close first giving them not chance to argue against the underlying charge. Hunter had a fair judge, while Trump had a very partial judge who made several reversible errors.

One silly prosecution of Hunter, given the numerous crimes identified on his laptop, does not negate the 5 or 6 bogus criminal and civil cases against Trump and the imprisonment of Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon.

"People around the globe" do not matter. Who are these people and where do they get their news?

The people who matter are the voters in the US, the people who suffer because of Biden's awful policies. Truthfully, given how Biden has messed everything up in the US why would anyone have faith in him to not mess it up even more with 4 more years. Worse, what about Kamala when Biden becomes too senile for his handlers to cover it up?

That "poll" shouldn't surprise anyone. What does "do the right thing" even mean? Foreign countries love weak frauds like Biden because they're easily taken advantage of. We've been walked on by most countries the past 4 years.

I hear this a lot but I am not a big fan of ending the FRB. I need to see the plan for how it is done and what happens afterward.

I would prefer to abolish the income tax, close the IRS, and repeal the 16th amendment. In fact, all income taxes should be permanently banned. No country can call itself "land of the free" as long as it has a tax on the labors of its citizens.

They are going to have him so loaded on Coke and Amphetamines that it probably wont happen, but it would definitely be funny as hell.

If he is even really there. Wouldnt surprise me if withdraws at the last minute or if the Dems and deep state put up a fake Joe Biden on stage.
