And that's the problem. Common sense. Garrett doesn't have any. Sometimes you have these super smart individuals---which Garrett is not, but they lack basic understanding and common sense. They could talk for hours on end about quantum physics, string theory, and whatnot, but the most basic of things goes right over their head and under their legs.

Calling a pass play on nearly EVERY 1ST down is not common sense.

3rd and 1, and instead of calling a screen or dumpoff pass or even a run, but calls for a downfield pass that results in an incompletion, is not common sense.

Instead of going for the first down and sustaining drives, but rather go for the kill shot that often results in an incompletion, is not common sense.

See you guys are upset over the big things like him icing the kicker, but it's these seemingly small bits of stupidity that add up that really does the most damage.
When we had the game winner sail through the uprights, and it didn't count, we're understandably going to be focusing on that.

This crap is scripted. I can't think of any other reason the way things unfold.

I'm thinking before each season they have a coin flip to see who wins each game and then they spin a wheel to see by how much and if it is close they then flip to see if it will go into over time and they just play it out like that.

Jerry's got some really bad luck with those coin flips.

Naturally. And I get that. But what it is, it's either Romo or Baily that bails Garrett out.

^we should have called the TO and ran the ball up the middle to get closer, common sense stuff...

His excuse about risking negative yards there pisses me off so much. We were running well for a stretch in that game until he completely abandoned it and went back into air ginger mode. I mean...this stuff is a problem whether we win or lose. The guy is clueless. He's getting by on Romo's talent.

It was Jim zorn esque.

completely mystifying.

The first qtr field goal try made no sense and the final sequence was just horrendous.

He likes to pass the buck on blame however, he was more than happy to let rob Ryan take blame and Tony romo take blame for losses earlier this year.

He needs to go call the game of his life Sunday to make up for this.

Whisenhunt was laughing at him in the post game pc...saying he was glad they iced their own kicker.

Amazing. The only thing this season is missing is a Terrell Owens type melt down from someone.

5-3 with Kitna.

Wrong.

Kitna lost to jax, gb, Philly, new orleans and put us in a 14-0 hole in Arizona.

Kitna beat ny, washington, indy and detroit.

Kitna was one of the reasons we lost to the saints. He had Austin open down the field all night and couldn't get him the ball....

Romo carries this team, he evens out all the mstakes and makes up for the repeated coaching gaffes. When he makes a mistake it is blown out of proportion, when he covers others mistakes as a constant occurrence it is glossed over.

Romo has made garrett. Today was a perfect example. Garrett simply cannot figure out how to slow down cards blitzing but romo takes a beating and makes up for it. In the end romo made the throw to win the game, yet the hc negated a game winning fg with a call that will never make any sense.

Don't let logic and reason cloud your judgement. Clearly we're great with Kitna also, and Garrett is best ever.

I lol when I see our QB having to break tackles just to throw the ball.

But our line is great according to this index or that index.

And I don't even care if we're talking about this, it's just a thought.

I am glad we kept throwing, that is where you attack them. We should have scored more points, but the constant negative plays from the missed blocks, penalties and the semi clueless group of wr is just a lot to overcome.

And yet romo did again, and made the throw to DEz to win. We should have called timeout and run the ball and try to get more yards. The way we finished made no sense. Just threw away a game.

That opening fg situation was a mess also.

The whole left side of the line is a sack of shit.

That seems to be the only consistent thing this team is good at this year.

I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired of this team. How can something you enjoy so much make you feel so damn low and want to break shit.

This is what I was referring to. He said that he did not want to risk getting negative yards there by running it with 25 seconds left. That's the dumbest shit I have ever heard. It was first down and they had two timeouts left. He fucked up bigtime there. You can't even write a story to make this stuff up. Not even a drunk like Hemingway could conjure a coach icing his own fucking kicker.

I was very angry with Garrett during the Lions game for horrible playcalling. I was also very angry when he gave the game away at New England. This is a whole other level of stupidity though. I hate him so much. There's really nothing he can do to change my opinion at this point. I know for sure he's never going to win big here. You don't see these types of mistakes with championship caliber coaches.

So where does that leave us? We essentially have to wait around for him to suck enough to get fired like San Diego fans have had to do since Norv stepped in there. That's a horrible feeling.

Garrett has some splaining to do....

*After the Romo QB sneak, they reviewed the play. Garrett should have had the next play called and the offense should have been ready to snap the ball as soon as the challenge was over. Instead, Garrett is talking to Romo casually on the sideline, probably giving him option B through Z. End result: More time comes off the clock, the crowd get crazy loud, and we have a false start.

*Dez caught the ball with 20 plus seconds left. Use a fucking timeout! Call a run play to get a few yards closer, use second time out, and have 3 seconds left on the clock when we attempt the FG. Spike the ball with 7 seconds left? What does that accomplish???

*I was at the game so I didn't even know Garrett iced Bailey. We assumed it was Arizona. That is a special amount of stupid.

wasnt garrett, decamilis and boinol told him to call TO...

the more important question is why didnt we call TO w over 20 seconds left after Dez caught the ball?

So Garrett wasn't aware of clock?

Well then, that makes me feel much better.

So here's my question.

The 53 yarder that Bailey missed was worthy of a kick attempt but on the very next possession a 52 yarder isn't worth an attempt?

And then a few possessions later, a 50 yarder was worth an attempt?

I mean, what the fuck is this guy doing?

He got completely flustered in this game and basically shat out a fat smelly turd.

You don't make decisions on your kicker's ability based on 1 miss in the last 27 attempts. If he thought Bailey could hit the 53 yarder, he should have thought Bailey could hit the 52 yarder. Instead, he punted right there for some reason.

Jason Garrett is just lost as a coach.

Its almost impossible to make sense of it. There was no reason to kick the field goal there.

Either go for it or punt.

We blew a golden opportunity today. But that is what has gone on here for awhile.

It's starting to show that garrett has some serious warts and the roster has some players who are losing it like newma, brooking and James and some who are just not mentally sharp like scandrick and Bryant.

We need Austin back and a spectacular defensive performance sunday night.

I'm not gonna say that they should have punted or gone for it but I just don't see the rationale of FGs from 53 and 50 yards being worthy of a kick but 52 yards is not.

It's completely nonsensical.
