I'm not saying you guys are racist but you sure seem to be on the same side as racists a whole lot
You do realize that when you throw around the term "racist" and "racism" for every little thing you really do minimize what is a very serious accusation, right? Sort of like calling the fire department when finding a burning lunchbag of dogshit on your porch.

Mick! Mick! Mick! It doesn't have the same insulting feel to it. Mick doesn't hurt my feelings either. It takes alot to insult us Celtic people.

Yeah, I'm not insulted my much. Unless you pick up my beer and take a drink out of it. In that case, shits about to go down.

All your self righteous indignation does nothing to change the fact that he was right.

My self righteous indignation? You guys all up in arms because a public figure is being held accountable for his actions by his employer, is a better example of self righteous indignation.

Yeah. And not just in this thread. You and your high horse come trotting in, looking down your long nose at everybody you don't agree with. It's not what you say, it's how you say it. There are not many more condescending than yourself. And I am far from the only one that sees it.

Oh, and please show me where I was 'all up in arms.' I've not made a single comment regarding Cooper and the Eagles. I posted a one word reply agreeing where Jon said there is a much bigger reaction to a slur towards a black person, over any other race. To deny that is either being naïve, blind, stupid, or all of the above.

:lol Yeah you and JBond seem to agree about me looking down at everyone who disagrees with my opinion. I guess since my opinions sometimes differ from others I can't express them so I won't be accused of looking down at others. It's how I say it, toughen up Nancy.

Whether or not using the N-word or gets a bigger reaction is irrelevant. It seems you are either trying to defend it or divert attention from the fact he said it so it can be dismissed. You'd be hard pressed to find a racial slur in our society that has been so associated with such horrible history. To claim that it isn't a big deal he said it is naive, blind, stupid or all of the above. Trying to divert from the topic of the thread, that this is the one racial slur is made out to be worse than others sounds like you are trying to justify or excuse him saying it. You probably aren't but that's a perception that can be had by those reading those types of responses, hence the FFS.

I really don't think it needs to be a bigger issue then it is and believe both the Eagles and Cooper have done the right thing since to try and make the situation better.

Are you stupid? Seriously? Nowhere was I defending or diverting anything. Again, I made a one word response to the perception of racial slurs in general. Nowhere did I mention Cooper, the Eagles, or how this situation was being handled. Yet you come, panties aflame.

Please. Show me where I defended anything. Or where I claimed that what Cooper said wasn't a big deal. I know you won't. You can't. Just like you skipped on past showing me where I was "all up in arms" like you'd claimed earlier. You spout random shit that makes no sense.

Good point Irv. The term "racist" gets thrown around in such a casual manner that it doesn't bother me that I get the label. The term gets used everytime a minority is disagreed with.
