Thanks for the insight as don't know much about him just what I hear about what QBs do in his offense
Regardless I want someone fresh with no retreads
Meyer makes sense b/c I believe he might be able to command some autonomy over Jerry and demand certain things other coaches may not

Oh, QBs produce in his offense and they win games. The problem is the Air Raid style of offense doesn't fit the Cowboys. Lincoln Riley runs a version of the Air Raid. Kellen Moore runs a version of the Air Raid. Kliff Kingsbury runs a version of the Air Raid. Other college coaches (Mike Gundy, Dana Holgersen, Kendal Briles, etc.). Some have success some don't. A lot of it has to do with the personnel they have.

When Kliff was at Tech he didn't have the same quality of talent that Oklahoma has, hence why Kliff didn't win a whole lot of games at Tech. Oklahoma gets quality talent, thus why they win games.

What the Cowboys need is a coach who is going to want to run the football. If you've watched the Ravens at all this season (and if you haven't, I feel bad for ya cause they are fun to watch. Also, they are going to be in the playoffs watch em then) you will see that the Ravens run the ball. In fact they have set the single season team rushing record breaking the '78 Patriots record. Thus why Ravens OC Greg Roman should be high on the Cowboys list.

Urban Meyer was Zeke's college coach and won a national championship with Zeke at the helm of the offense. Urban will know what to do with Zeke. Also, you are 100% correct in the fact that Urban should command respect. He is actually similar to Parcells in that way.

Dan Campbell I'm not sure about, although to my knowledge he is a more old school type coach, so I imagine the type of stuff Moore is running would not appeal to him.

I can't imagine that at this point Garrett gets an extension. It would be bad for business at this point.
Nonsense. 90 percent of Cowboys fans are idiots and think Carrot is great. 90 percent of those share Jerry's fear of him going somewhere else and winning Soup Bows. If Jerruh extended Carrot, that 90 percent would celebrate. If he didn't, that idiot 90 percent would abide anyway. Best business decision for Jerruh is whatever Jerruh does.

Don't think for a minute that the fire Garrett cabal is in any way a majority. We're not, we're a militant minority.

But what about the TV networks? If Garrett gets extended is FOX going to send Troy and Joe Buck to every Cowboys game? What about NBC? Will the Cowboys be on SNF on a regular basis as they have been? MNF? TNF? Locally, not much may change for the Cowboys, but nationally? I can't imagine that the networks will want to see more of the mediocrity, when they can put on the Ravens or Chiefs or 49ers or Packers in those timeslots and don't be naive and think Jerry doesn't care about that, cause he does.

The Dallas Cowboys are a worldwide draw regardless of the product on the field. Are a revenue giant regardless of the product on the field. That's the heart of the entire business model - their bottom line is completely isolated from results on the field. It's intentionally that way. The tickets are pre-sold so that if people simply stayed away, the revenue stays the same. The lease amount for the idiot overblown stadium stays the same.

The booking of the stadium is a revenue stream too. The owner of the stadium, the city of Arlington, gets no extra. It only gets the lease payment from the club.

There really is nothing Jerry could do to hurt the margin or bottom line. It's fucking idiot proof. The last 25 years should make that clear.

The networks avoid Dallas games at their own peril. They know that already.

Reminder: The NFL isn't the NBA or MLB or even NFL where there are like 4 markets where people actually care and the rest of the league just kinda exists. In the NFL a team like KC is a big draw. Baltimore now is too.

The Cowboys rake in zillions of dollars. They are the most valuable sports franchise for a reason. However, I disagree with the idea that 9 of 10 people love Garrett. The people on the Zone aren't that stupid. The people on The Fan aren't that stupid. The people who listen to The Fan aren't that stupid. The people on the Cowboys reddit aren't that stupid. We aren't that stupid. And because of that, the schedule makers would see Cowboys games and say "How bout we put KC or Baltimore or Green Bay in this SNF slot because more people will be interested". Now, that won't happen if there is a coaching change. If there isn't a coaching change? Yeah... the networks will look elsewhere.

Yeah Garrett gets barbecued on the regular on Reddit, and Twitter is about 80/20 or maybe higher to run his ass oit of town.

The Cowboys had 5 primetime games this season. If Garrett somehow gets extended? That number is going to go down.

No it won’t

The Cowboys and the Patriots are the two biggest draws

Because everyone either loves us or hates us and either way....

They are still going to watch us

The Cowboys are the most profitable franchise in the history of ALL sports

And this is with the last 2 plus decades of mediocrity

The coach of the Dallas Cowboys doesn’t have one single thing to do with viewership or profit. Jeruh is gonna get dat money no matter what puppets ass he shoves hand inside of for the next decade

Garrett would make the perfect coach for Cleveland

I hear he’s gonna be available reeeeeeaal soon

No. I'm a football purist, or at least I fancy myself as one. The Browns are a young and talented team. And they could be a very good team with good coaching. This organization deserves to have some success. They do not deserve to have a Garrett. I wouldn't even pawn him off on a divisional rival. He needs to be out of the NFL.

Fuck Kubiak and Zimmer but Campbell might be intriguing coming from the Payton tree and having been on Dallas previously as a player

Campbell also has the Parcels connection. Witten becoming the great all-around TE can be credited to Campbell.

These rumors are out of Control. Witten? Really? And Campbell? What has he done? Is he an accomplished coach on either side of the ball? He's a TE coach. No thanks. I want better.

I'll say this. If Jerry gives us scrap again this time around to satisfy his comfort zone, I'm out. I'm not going to waste my time watching another scrub HC with a scrub QB muddle through another NFL season while other teams lap us again and again. Fuck that.....
