Thanks for the insight as don't know much about him just what I hear about what QBs do in his offense
Regardless I want someone fresh with no retreads
Meyer makes sense b/c I believe he might be able to command some autonomy over Jerry and demand certain things other coaches may not
Oh, QBs produce in his offense and they win games. The problem is the Air Raid style of offense doesn't fit the Cowboys. Lincoln Riley runs a version of the Air Raid. Kellen Moore runs a version of the Air Raid. Kliff Kingsbury runs a version of the Air Raid. Other college coaches (Mike Gundy, Dana Holgersen, Kendal Briles, etc.). Some have success some don't. A lot of it has to do with the personnel they have.
When Kliff was at Tech he didn't have the same quality of talent that Oklahoma has, hence why Kliff didn't win a whole lot of games at Tech. Oklahoma gets quality talent, thus why they win games.
What the Cowboys need is a coach who is going to want to run the football. If you've watched the Ravens at all this season (and if you haven't, I feel bad for ya cause they are fun to watch. Also, they are going to be in the playoffs watch em then) you will see that the Ravens run the ball. In fact they have set the single season team rushing record breaking the '78 Patriots record. Thus why Ravens OC Greg Roman should be high on the Cowboys list.
Urban Meyer was Zeke's college coach and won a national championship with Zeke at the helm of the offense. Urban will know what to do with Zeke. Also, you are 100% correct in the fact that Urban should command respect. He is actually similar to Parcells in that way.
Dan Campbell I'm not sure about, although to my knowledge he is a more old school type coach, so I imagine the type of stuff Moore is running would not appeal to him.
