Fuck Kubiak and Zimmer but Campbell might be intriguing coming from the Payton tree and having been on Dallas previously as a player

Ironically, if Zimmer got hired Kubiak would probably be on the staff, but I agree I don't want those guys.

If Campbell ends up being the pick I'll be happy. He did a solid job coaching the Dolphins and brought a great culture midseason for them... which was then blown up by Adam Gase because Adam Gase is a terrible coach.

My order of coaches I want to coach the Cowboys consists of

1.) Urban Meyer
2.) Greg Roman
3.) Dan Campbell
4.) Seriously, it isn't one of the 3?

Don't want him. As someone who watches a lot of college ball, his offense isn't all that special and his offense also doesn't fit the Cowboys personnel. If he got hired by the Cowboys, it would basically be like promoting Kellen Moore to be the HC.

Riley would be a good fit somewhere where he could build the team to his offense (like Kliff in Arizona) or is already built for his style of offense (Cleveland comes to mind).

Thanks for the insight as don't know much about him just what I hear about what QBs do in his offense
Regardless I want someone fresh with no retreads
Meyer makes sense b/c I believe he might be able to command some autonomy over Jerry and demand certain things other coaches may not

I'll take Greg Roman or Dan Campbell or Ron Rivera or Mike McCarthy or Robert Saleh over Jason Garrett any day. I've got a feeling all those guys would take the Cowboys job if offered, no questions asked.

At this point I don’t even care who the replacement is, as long as they let the ginger walk.

Cleveland really is a perfect spot for him.

You have to factor in too that he has skins on the wall. Even though they’re not at the Pro level he has shown that he knows how to win and has won, with multiple teams. So even though Jerry has total control, Meyer’s prior success demands respect.

This is true. I wonder how soon we'll hear that news come down.
