Galloway trying to drum up ratings.

There is no way Garrett is fired after this year. I stand by that, even if we lose every remaining game.

Not going to happen.

Rex Ryan maybe... and rightfully so. But not Garrett.

Oh man this better not be a cocktease. Garrett has had 5 years here now and we've done nothing.

cmd is correct about his crossroads statement. We can either throw away the primes of some great players, or we can put some legit coaches in place and go for it.

Thing is if Fisher were hired to replace Garrett, there's a good possibility Ryan would remain because of Fisher's relationship wiuth the Ryan family.

Of course the downside is we dump Garrett after only a yr and a half, he ends up somewhere else in the nos too distant future and then wins big. Cowboys fans would go ape.

Impossible. This is one of the most talented teams in the league. Any other team he'd have a chance at would be a huge rebuilding project.

On top of that, I don't think his stock is high enough to even get an OC job at this point. He definitely would not get an HC job. Too many big name and solid candidates out there right now. If Garrett is fired from Dallas, it might be the end of his NFL coaching career for a bit. He is similar to Jim Mora to me. Decent coordinator who rubbed lots of people the wrong way, and ended up having to take a college job.

Not true at all. We ranked towards the bottom of the league in the redzone and we're middle of the pack in 3rd down conversions. We put up tons of yards, but have had little success consistently enough to make Garrett some untouchable commodity.

I think everyone just expects Garrett to be a great Head Coach...comes from a football family, long-time back-up QB, Ivy League education. He just simply isn't. I would not care one bit if he ends up being awesome somewhere else down the road. I want to see Romo with a legit shot at a Superbowl.

Haha this is the dumbest thing I've read all day, and that counts CZ posts.

Payton has been coaching since 1988 and he turned a 3-13 team into a playoff team in one season. That team actually made it all the way to NFC championship when he took over. They won the Super Bowl shortly after. Payton, Fox, and Harbaugh are proof that it does not take long to turn a team around in this league with even mediocre talent. Those guys get the most out of their players. It doesn't take a pro bowl player at all 22 starting positions to contend in this league. Garrett is crippled by many factors that just completely make him a failure compared to successful coaches. Lack of in game adjustments, situational coaching, ability to use his talent, etc. It's a shame.

Does that count CZ transplants' posts like peplaw and superPUNK?

I don't think Garrett is the problem.

I think a weak OL, a bad defense, and having to hire his 5th option to coach the defense is his problem.

I don't want Garrett fired.

so you start your post by boasting how much experience Payton has...then you rag on Garrett because he hasnt done it in Dallas in 5 years..I will even give you 5 years in Dallas..Im not locked in on Garrett by any means..but to suggest hes been calling shots for 5 years wouldnt be fair either

None of those coaches ran their franchise into the ground in their first years. You don't see epic collapses and huge blunders like the end of the Arizona game from any other team in the league. Sparano and Haley were just fired today for much less egregious offenses. Hell, Sparano just won 4 out of 5 and his team actually played hard for him. You've seen the same crap with Garrett's team for 5 years now. He's clearly proven this year that he was more of a problem than a solution to Wade's mess.

Garrett might get better in a few years, but this team has been primed to win since 2006. There was even talk that we'd play in our own stadium for the super bowl. It's sad that the fans are now ok with waiting around 3-4 wasted seasons just to see if Garrett figures it out. There's too many good coaching candidates out there with experience. No need to wait. There should be more urgency for a team with proven solid players in their prime.

I don't buy it either. Not with Jerry having a chance to calm down. But Jerry was definitely the most pissed off after a result that I've ever recalled him being. He stormed out w/o saying a word to anyone else in the suite.
Jerrah is a typical rich idiot, who thinks he is a football guy. The foolish fans continue to pack Jerrah World, line his pockets with coin. If the fans want to get Jerrahs attention, boycot a few games, empty seats will get Jerrahs attention, better than a blonde in a bar at 2am.

Garrett has made a fool of himself these last few weeks: it's undeniable.
Princeton degree an he can't comprehend clock mgmt.

When Ballard catches the ball on the 1 he's gotta run down a ref an get a TO - he burned 20 secs there ! Terrible ! He also had to get word in to let Jacobs score .
Instead he's stuck frozen in place on the sideline in a mock Landry pose/ look . Meanwhile Couglin is screaming an yelling all nite, working the refs etc

Garrett is uninspiring .

He blew the AZ game , he forgot he had 2 TOs left - no doubt .

Garrett has no feel for time management just like he has no feel for play calling when he goes pass happy all the time, even if we're leading and it's still the first half. The guy is clearly inexperienced and in over his head but after being proclaimed a genius before ever having served as a HC or an a coordinator, it won't be easy for Jerry to cut ties with him.
