I'll try to hold on.

Sorry but contiuity isn't a substitute for talent. At least with Berny there is hope because he's relatively young and he missed last offseason (or at least part of it) with some sort of injury. Played better as the year wore on. Livings is garbage though. RT hasn't been addressed yet, although I'm sure it will.
And Washington isn't a valid comparison. They're offensive line didn't so much player better. It was more defenses having to contain against that gimmicky uh oh wheres the ball read option crap.
I'd rather Jerry just get drunk and throw darts at our draft board. That would probably work better.
I'd rather us all get drunk and throw darts at Jerry
Where did you explain why? I must've missed it. I just read where you said "we couldn't" without provided any explaination as to why....
Because you can't make the investment in OL that we made last season (scheme-wise, scouting-wise, money-wise) and just throw it away after one year. Our results for what we did (new starter at every position on our line + all the injury) were extremely predictable. I'd say we made upgrades everywhere except for RT but with that sort of upheaval you're just not going to be successful.
Blowing it up again in an impatient snap-judgement would have been technically possible I guess but very stupid. Especially when we did actually see improvement late when they all started playing together regularly.
We're not talking about rebuilding a quality unit. Like, OMG, can't replace those pieces because they could suck.
Piece we have, they suck. They need to be replaced.
It's absolute foolishness (a) giving Livings and Berny the contract we did and then (b) being afraid to admit the mistake after one year and making a change.
Basically your strategy for fixing the line is "hope."
So lets not draft guards or tackles to, at some point, replace the bums we have in fear of ruining the continuity that we gained towards the end of last year, or because of the investment we made "money/scheme/scouting" wise last year.... What?!?
If we were on facebook I would "like" this comment. Maybe even share it.
No, my strategy is what works in the NFL year after year. Not this herky-jerky snap evaluation nonsense.
you can get an add-on to get a "like" feature.
Letting shitty overpaid players keep their jobs = winning NFL strategy.
Hopping jiminy crickets we got us a member of the Jones family postin on this here forum!
