punk does have a point. You can't just replace an entire offensive line in one offseason. At some point, you have to give them some time to become a cohesive unit. They didn't really play together all off season last year.

I mean Jerry did pretty much exactly what he said he was going to do early in the offseason. Draft a G/C type.

The OL does need a leader and I hope Frederick can fill that role. He's obviously smart, so I'm hoping he plays center and handles the calls. If anyone else is brought in, it might be nice to see someone like Brandon Moore for a year or two since he is familiar with Callahan's system. Free did his best work when he was next to an established vet in Kosier. And, if Parnell wins that job, which he might, it'd be the same deal. Pair a young guy with an established vet.

What do u think goes through escobar's head?

He is a ny kid, lifelong giants fan.

Two years ago he was probably having a great time when ny beat Dallas and Jerry.

Now there he is in the war room on draft day. Has to be weird.

Huh. I guess I just assumed he was a Cali kid. Yeah, that'd be weird...until your first paycheck. lol

I have a soft spot for Ditka as a Cowboys player. He was past his prime then, of course, but his TD in Super Bowl VI has stayed with me.

Free, Livings, Frederick, *winner of training camp*, Parnell, Clabo, or that Cheifs T

That is 3 out of 5 if MacKenzie loses out or God forbid trips in the weightroom and needs surgery again.

am I the only one intrigued by him? he seemed to hold his own whenever he played. that's not to say we shouldn't kick Clabo's or Winston's tires.

He played well when we put him out there. I'm not sure why he didn't get much playing time over Free when it was clear that Free was the worst tackle in the league.

Yeah I always find myself impressed when he plays. Of course, Free impressed me early too

I would not be surprised to see them going into camp and let Free/Parnell battle it out and the loser is the swing

Which, if that is the plan, makes signing Moore even more important. Wedge the vet who knows the system between the rookie and the young guy (assuming Parnell wins)

clabo is in miami today, but laconfora said Dallas has heavy interest in him though...

laconfora doesnt really know much though, clabos agent probably told him that so he would repeat it to hurry up and get him a contract.

What about Kowalski at G? I still feel like he was light years ahead of whatever fodder was thrown out there besides him at C.

Seems funny that most of us have so much hope in a veteran tackle who's still available this late in the game, BUT man will I feel better about our chances next year if we sign him. I feel like we have 4 unknowns and 3 weak spots on the O Line right now. Hopeful about the unknown (Frederick) and then Clabo would bring us down to 2 weak spots. Hopefully, one of those 2 is weeded out with some real competition in camp.
