He won WITH the 5-11 garbage that was already here, then in a few short years aquired and developed hall of famers setting us up for success. Those are good things.
Yeah, signed plenty of FOBJAGS too and made his own share of draft blunders.
And one of those HOF's he really wasnt all that keen on drafting at 11 but relented after the scouts and owner insisted otherwise. The other was a massive luckout job for him in getting Witten, whom they should have drafted in the 2nd rd but instead took that POS Al Johnson.
4 years. .500 record. No playoff wins. Thats mediocrity, not greatness.
Parcells was an awesome coach when he was with the Giants. He was a pretty good coach with the Patriots and ok with the Jets. He was a burn out collecting a check when we got him.
The one common theme is that the guy never won anything without Bill Belichick with him, and Belichick went on to being a far better HC than Parcells ever was on his own.
