With the plethora of serviceable TEs out there waiting for contracts, it's ridiculous that we are going to waste a draft pick on one.

Even Witten's blocking has dropped pretty big. I remember him saying how it wasn't hard once - you just have to get in someone's way and shield them. While this is true in alot of cases pass blocking and in the open field, at the point of attack you need push. We missed Bennett last year, no question.

John garrett had said 11 was witten's best year blocking in his career and was still improving in that area.
honestly we need better tackle play so witten can be out catching balls, not that he doesnt already get a ton.

broaddus today said we are going to take fluker at 18. I am sure he will change his prediction each week but I really can see us taking an Offensive tackle, rb, te, s with our first four picks or so. I imagine they fill out that defensive line with inexpensive free agents and focus on building the line and running game.

Since we need offensive lineman in the worst way we better take one in rounds 1 or 2. We're batting about 1.00 in round 1, .500 in round 2, and .001 in rounds after that.

Brace yourself. we are going to draft one and then in the UDFA market bring in at least two like we always do.

hopefully we find someone who will fit what they are looking for.

imo to fix this running game, the tight ends and fullbacks have to be good and right now as far as blocking goes from both sans witten I dont really know that we have the players we want.

and that leads us to another problem, garrett has been trying to find a te/fb for seemingly four years and can not get it right.

and people want him to look for a quarterback. No thanks.

Have no problem taking another TE. Witten is getting older, we have no depth behind him and Garrett needs all the help he can get in confusing defenses.

Plus this year is loaded with some great TEs.

Garrett couldn't figured out how to use Bennett. Why uses high pick on another guy he couldn't figure out how to use

I think we used Bennett exactly how we wanted to use him. His one year foray into being a pass catching TE for a team that didn't attempt to bring him back notwithstanding...

Finally see why Michael Bennett only got a 1yr deal. Has a major injury:

AdamSchefter Adam Schefter
Seahaws DE Michael Bennett, who left Tampa for Seattle, was diagnosed with torn rotator cuff. Injury why Bennett got a 1-yr deal in SEA.

Former Raiders safety Michael Huff has agreed to a three-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

Huff, 29, played his entire seven-year career with the Raiders before being released last week. He must pass a physical before he can sign a contract.

The Ravens announced the agreement Wednesday. The Super Bowl champions had needed to fill a void in the secondary after releasing starting strong safety Bernard Pollard and losing free safety Ed Reed to Houston via free agency.

Huff started all 16 games for Oakland last season -- 14 at cornerback and two at free safety.

theebs said it the other day but it is really annoying hearing analysts praise other teams for picking up our scrubs.

We sign career back-up's and others team's rejects and certain Cowboys fans praise it like we just found buried treasure.

I don't think anyone does that. Durant was a solid signing and noone gives a fuck about Allen. Just weird sometimes, seeing a guy like Butler who was a one trick pony who wasn't even that good at his one trick go somewhere else and analysts be like "great/good/underrated signing."
